Do you hate a turn check/raise attempt? I know you should be bet/3betting your strongest hands. But two people calling an Ace high flop and the turn bringing another scare card I would think that at least one of the villains would bet flush draw or even low pair (hoping to fold out a middle PP) and of course any Ax and maybe even a Kx hand.

2/4 Limit Holdem
6 players

Pre-flop: (1.5 SB, 6 players) Hero is SB King of Clubs King of Spades
UTG raises, UTG 1 calls, CO calls, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, UTG calls, UTG 1 calls, CO calls

Flop: 2 of Diamonds Ace of Clubs 3 of Diamonds (13.0 SB, 4 players)
Hero bets, 1 fold, UTG 1 calls, CO calls

Turn: King of Hearts (8.0 BB, 3 players)
Hero checks

I'm not sure about a check-raise here. UTG1 might bet a somewhat weaker Ax but he will definitely check QQ or JJ. And after UTG1 checks also, CO won't bet anything but Ax (if he's smart). I think the risk of the turn getting checked through is a bit too high here.

But if I bet the turn don´t you think UTG+1 will fold QQ or JJ on an AxxK board with one player left to act? I think most TAGs at 2/4 would.

Also why shouldn´t CO take a stab with a flushdraw after two players check?

If UTG+1 folds QQ and JJ to a turn bet, then you are not going win anything more from him anyway, regardless of what you do. Better just bet collect calls from his Ax hands and maybe QQ, JJ, TT, etc. You will also collect a call from CO most of the time. And if CO bets and you check-raise, you will definitely lose UTG+1 while he might still call one bet.

But I don't think CO takes a stab because he's unlikely to get 2 folds here. From his point of view, at least one of his opponents is probably calling down with whatever pair he has. Besides, bluffing against 2 opponents is generally a bad idea.

I still think you'll get the most by just betting here.

I wasn´t saying that I could pick up more value from QQ-TT, I was just saying that I shouldn´t lose any money by not betting against these hands. (I dont need to protect since if they improve I will just win more money.) But I do need to get value of course and I thought that I would get the most money by going for a check/raise.

Of course its easy to put people on hands the way you would play them. So I thought CO would bet any Ax and any FD (and maybe even Kx sometimes). I thought UTG+1 would bet any Ax (and sometimes a FD). If those assumptions were true I think a turn check/raise would be best since a bet won´t protect.

But to be clear, you´re assumptions are that they won´t always bet their worse Ax hands, and probably not a FD too and that they will perhaps call down with QQ-TT?
