I am getting a bit bored with Poker Stars and I am interested in trying another site that has a lot of low buy-in MTTs as well as SNGs that aren't too tough. With that criteria it seems like Full Tilt poker would be a good fit. I notice there is the usual FTP 100% bonus, but does ITH offer rakeback? I'd love to sign up through ITH if they have it... I have searched around but can't seem to locate any information on the subject.

Also, I understand rake back is subtracted from the bonus money you clear. Do you still get any bonus money or is it all just taken and paid in the form of rake back? If this is the case, would it be better to just chase the money if I am not planning on playing there very long?

Thanks guys.

I think it's covered there, but in case not, bonus money is subtracted from rake before rakeback is figured.

So, you rake $200, and clear $100 bonus (numbers made up, the relationship won't be 2 to 1). Your rake is $100 for purposes of determining rakeback and you get $27, for a total of $127 between the two. If you rake $200 with no bonus clearing, you get $54, so while you technically get less rakeback while clearing a bonus, you end up with more total between the two than you would with either by itself.

Your understanding is a bit reversed. Very Happy

Your bonus is deducted from your rakeback. In either case, you are better off chasing the bonus with rakeback than without.

You might also want to consider Cake Poker. I find the SNGs very beatable, they have a nice bonus and ITH offers 33% rakeback. Great stuff!

It still take years to get money from them?

How's 6-max selection there in the 2/4 realm? What deposit options there?

I really wanted to do Cake Poker... I hear about their cool bounty tournaments all the time, as well as some of their other juicy tournaments. But, I just read a thread here about how hard it is to get cash out. Do they really charge you $35 for a check?

I use QuickTender (UseMyWallet) and my cashouts are typically done within 48 hours.

I don't know what their cashout policy is for checks, never used that service.

And that service is available for US players? I have never heard of it... are the fees reasonable? If Cake really isn't that bad and I just read an alarmist post I would definitely give it a go. It is just that I haven't deposited at a poker site in over 2 years, and I have had trouble getting my money from UB... 2+ months for a check now.

Waiting on UB? Really? I cashed out of there several months ago and it took about 4 days to get my check. If you have not followed up on that with CS, I would.

I am US, so UseMyWallet is available to us. There are some funky rules, though about new accounts, so I can't guarantee that they'll take you.

eWalletXpress i also usable by Americans at Cake. There first deposit (from bank to EWX) is free, after that they have a small fee.

Both of those services have crappy cashout fees back to your bank. I have a way around that, though, but there are strings attached.

I have recived 3 checks so far from my big score but because the $ is from BC there is a longer hold on it depending on your bank. If you have Bank Of America then Cake would be a great place to play because they only put a 10 day hold on there checks the size im waiting to get cleared.. If your Canadian then your blessed and it wont be a hassle at all. Also if your check is under $1k I know for a fact B of A will cash it right away without a hassle.

2/4 6 max during the day you will be lucky to find 3 tables going. During peek hrs it is much eassier to multi table. Also if you enjoy STT there Turbo STT pay up to 4th place so it is a little less variance.
