Hi, I've visited ITH for several months now after reading Hilger's book and decided to finally get registered on the forums. I love this site. The insider poker information as well as the advice I have found on the forum has been very helpful. I hope to add my own advice when I feel it's worthy. See you guys around, and good luck at the tables this week!

Thanks for the welcome Taz. I first started playing online in March, mostly $1/2 limit and $5 SnG's on PokerStars. Since then I have played on a dozen different sites and every limit from $1/2 to $10/20. I feel like I probably moved up each time a bit prematurely, looking at only the size of my bankroll to determine the limit I was going to play. I recently hit some bumps in the road playing middle limits and decided to take a break while re-reading my favorite poker books. I plan to deposit on BoDog, Party, and Pacific and start as low as $1/2, attempting to plug any leaks I can find and regaining confidence and discipline. I felt like these 3 will give me the best selection of soft low-limit games. Any thoughts on my choices? Any I should consider adding?

Well I have never played at Bodog but both Pacific and Party are great for the poor quality of play at 1/2. They are both the highest raked sites at that level as wel though, so it will definatley affect your earn rate over many hands. At 1/2 taking advantage of bonuses can be a really good way to add to your bottom line. Some people prefer not to go after bonuses and just play sites that they like, but I usually play the 4 or 5 high value bonuses each month and then play at Party if I have extra time.
For example, the 5 pound an hour bonuses at the Crypto sites add 2.5BB/100 to your bottom line. This is a great way to build up your BR on top of whatever you take from the tables. Check out the bonus chasing forum for ideas and definatley have a read over the Crypto FAQ sticky at the top of the forum.
Good-luck!

I saw him several times at the WSOP this year. He was deep in the same limit event that I cashed in. He was friendly as usual and even mocked me for my high post count, which is always amusing. He, Matthew and I had a conversation where we expressed amazement at some of the very poor plays we were seeing in the event. I remember when I played higher than him back in the day and now he is playing the biggest games at Stars.

I remember him and ebo beating me up a little bit in the 5/10 and 8/16 games at FTP. I've seen him playing in the big limit games at Stars and FTP a couple of times as well. I think he sometimes sits at an empty table at FTP waiting for challengers.
