Hi everybody,
I plan to take the CD Poker-free chipset signup promo. However, as I live in Germany, I would be very thankful if someone could share experience on possible charge placed by customs when shipping the chipset to germany? As this can get rather expensive, I'm trying to figure out if it's a reasonable plan?
BTW: I had no problems with the HoH-Books (1-3) that I got for the EmpirePoker-Signup. They came in 2 packages and went thru customs just fine.

If it's any help, I don't recall any complaints of customs issues with packages to Germany. If something's going to get flagged, though, it will be the chipset, due to the size/weight.
hi i got HoH 1-3,as well - without problems.
i am also awaiting the chipset. I got a letter on friday telling me i have a package waiting for me at the customs. unfortunately its >50 km away from my home with no car available for me
I called the provided number telling that in the letter they demanded 2 copies of the bill of what i expect. additionally they want to know what is inside the package
I told the custom that its a free gift i receive for registration at an internet forum.
they told me to send a copy where they can see that it is a gift. I also have to find out the value of the chipset (ok,easy job: ebay,find the cheapest) and tell it to the customs so they can calculate the toll (is it the right word ?) i have to pay -depending on value.
I will continue to write the story but will not be available for maybe 2-3 weeks from wednesday on.
short story: i had to pay approx 5.xx euro taxes... This was because the taxes exceeded 5 euro. as the $-€ conversion is much better now in terms of having less € in taxes there shouldnt occur no taxes anymore (you dont have to pay taxes less then 5€)
my tip for ith would be include a bill that is a little lower, like 24.99$ so that at any case nobody has to pay german taxes.
