|
|
Cake wants to show us TWICE the love in January that they showed us in December - precise details to follow in a day or two...as we work out how we want to spread all that love around.
But...
This time they have asked that the contest be run as a rakeback race vice a rake race. This means that your score is your Net Gross Rake - which is your rake minus bonus and fees. So-o-o-o-o this is your heads up to CLEAR YOUR BONUS now, because it will tend to hold you back in January's competition.
And don't worry, there's something for first-time depositors in January as well.
Happy Chasing!

DETAILS POST
In December we had $600 in extra cash to splash around. In January we have $1200.
We've asked for a flatter distribution of the rakeback race prizes this time so that more members can benefit. Nine total places paid:
Top Rakeback earner: $200 bonus
2nd thru 9th Rakeback earners each get $100
Remember, this is a RakeBACK race this month, not a rake race. Your score is your NGR. Be aware that the following items are deducted from your NGR:
-Bonus earned
-Transaction fees charged to Cake when you deposit and withdraw
-Loyalty points redemptions (cashing in your gold chips for merchandise)
In addition we will have a $200 freeroll in Feb (TBD). To qualify you must
1: accumulate 1,000 raked hands in January
or
2: make your first (ever) deposit at Cake in January
You must be signed up at Cake via ITH to participate in these promotions.
Happy Chasing! |

| Tourney fees are included in NGR, so they count. And you're currently in 8th place, FWIW. |

Is anyone else still getting points at a faster rate than they did in December? I have not been playing nearly as much as I was in December, but I already have 52 gold chips for January. It seems to be accumulating about 3 times as fast as before. |

Yes, me too. I think they have forgotten to turn off the double points promotion they started a while back.
Or it runs for longer than I was expecting. |

I've given up keeping track of who's who these days. This is the current list of players ordered by NGR (for players who have a positive NGR).
MrFen
EightyO

drake2005
WillemD
wack
frugalboy
high.rustler
clabbers2

Finshark
Yankees31
roKky89
krazytxan
SergeAyotte
Whatever they've done with regards to bonus clearing is quite odd, as over half our active players have cleared more in bonus this month than they've paid in rake, which has a large impact on this race, obviously. Even so, the distance between the folks in the top 9 and the rest of the field (including those with nothing credited to NGR currently) aren't large, so pretty much everyone should still have a shot at one of the prizes. |

We have a player who is credited with clearing $140 of bonus in only 544 raked hands. This is not even mathematically possible under the current clearance rules. I asked Cake if they are running a promotion and was told they are not. Whatever is going on is a HUGE benefit to the players who still have some bonus left to clear.
