Apparently, David "Chino" Rheem still has warrants for his arrest back home.

Probably not the kind of impressions that Pollock and the Harrah's braintrust had in mind.

I'm sure this will all get taken care of before hand but imagine this scenario: Rheem gets extradited back to FL and has to serve jail time, which includes the time at the final table.

He certainly has enough money to get lawyered up and I'm sure Harrah's will help since they can't afford this kind of negative publicity either.

Sucks for him, but at least it's a misdemeanor and not a felony for his sake.

He should consider getting Hellmuth to coach him.

Probably the most likely way someone isn't going to show up I suppose.

Wouldn't that suck. Being blinded out while you sit in the can.

A warrant for FTA isn't really a warrant at all... all the guy needs to do is go to the courthouse and get it cleared up.... not that I know anything about that.

True enough, but it still isn't really the sort of local publicity they were hoping for.

Last I heard the San Antonio guy was negotiating with the DA's office who seem to be willing to levy a huge fine in lieu of jail time. This is quoted from the Full Tilt forum, original attribution not given there:

SAN ANTONIO — A well-known local poker player has struck a plea deal in a case involving an online bookmaking operation and will forfeit more than $2.2 million of purported poker winnings.

Richard Henry Lee, who placed sixth in 2006 at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, on Tuesday entered a no contest plea to the misdemeanor charge of keeping a place for gambling. Four of Lee's employees entered the same plea.

Lee and three employees will give up 80 percent of the money, or $2.5 million total, that San Antonio police seized in raids last year.

Police called Lee's home the "nerve center" of the sports booking and betting operation and named him as the bookie. They raided his house as part of an investigation into a sports betting Web site that pretending to be offshore.

"I'm glad it's over," Lee said. "Now I need to go win another poker tournament."

One of Lee's lawyers, Alan Brown, said the money Lee is giving up was from the nearly $2.7 million he won at the Las Vegas tournament.

I'm sure Chino isn't even in the top ten of bad role models in poker. It could easily be spun as a bad kid makes good story, similar to Mike Matusow, country singer Randy Travis and many others.

Hmm, It'd be an interesting list to make.
