Near the bubble in an MTT. ~6M at 3.5K
I am short with
It folds around to me in MP3, so I push. It folds to the BB who has about 15K, and is table lead. He calls and shows K6o.
He flops a K, but I runner runner a straight.
He types "Ur so lucky" in chat and a discussion ensues on who should win with TT vs K6o. He mentions at some point that he was obligated to call because he was the big stack and he had a K.
This did not seem right to me, but I am not a tourney guy. What says the crowd here? Is he really obliged to call because he has a K in this situation? |

the blinds are like 125/250 A25?
It's definitely a mistake. |

| If the BB is only 250, the push was probably a mistake as well...but much more permissable than the call!!!!!!!!!! |

For sure. When you have a big stack you don't call with weak hands, but control the table with raises with weak hands. |

M of 6 is that? If so then the big stack is very silly.
On the bubble a big stack is good for bullying and not calling pushes with silly hands. Hero is likely to have a better range than normal on the bubble and so villain would need a much better hand to call. KQ or AT maybe for me.

I call very lightly when a big stack, but K6o is too lightly.
Oh, and ImBetterDude, why is pushing a mistake with TT here? Hero can't exactly raise then fold to a push. So hero may as well stick it in now. Hero's M is only 6. So this is an atuomatic shove. |

| I like your play. His is just horrible. No way he should be calling off over 20% of his stack w/K6off. |

Shoving is easier than calling.
Easy! |

| M is lower than I thought, pushing is standard. My apologies. |
