Back in the good ole days we used to have these fun "check-up" posts whenever we had mass participation in a particular bonus at a site. It was kind of cool to see who was killing it and who was getting smacked around.
So, how is your CAKE?
I've been getting smacked for the most part! I started out playing $1/$2 Heads Up or playing any $2/$4, $3/$6 limit table that was going. It was a total roller coaster with most of the ride going down until I would eventually hit a gigantic hand to bring me back near even.
I had lost nearly half my deposit so I decided to move up limits and I am currently playing 3/6 up to 8/16 with a sprinkle of 10/20. 5/10 6max always kicks my ass so I'm staying away from that train wreck. I'm also hitting the .50/1.00 NL games a smidge.
The quality of the games are ok, but change rapidly if the wrong player leaves the game. The NL games seem much juicier in general, but NL bores me (wish it didn't)
Stats:
I'm currently up $37.50 from play
Cleared $220 of the bonus
Hands dealt: 4391
Hands Raked: 2513
Total Rake: $555
Gold Chips: 52
Gold Cards: 2 (Is anyone racking up the Gold Cards?)
How goes your chase? |

| Very swingy for me too. I deposited 200, cleared the entire bonus up 1100, took it down to 300, but kept playing til 5 am and got it back within 50 of my peak. The next day I got aces cracked at 2/4 PLO four times, and busted out. Since then I got 100 up to 370 and busted again. PLO is much swingier for me than PLO8, so chalk it up to bankroll management and the advisability of playing well rested. |

Down to $80 pending.
Played my first hands of $15-$30 tonight and the bonus was melting away. |

My chase started gloriously. Unfortunately I hit the skids and I am now only ahead at Cake because of the bonus and rakeback.
Why is it that I seem to have great luck at 1/2 and 2/4 and get all my 2,3,and 4 outter rivers at 3/6 and 5/10? |

You obviously had all my luck at 2/4. I'm back playing 1/2 and 0.5/1 now.
I have done a cashout to Neteller by the way. Hit my account within 24hrs - no further charges. |

Where'd you guys get your hand details from? I haven't a clue how many hands I've played or how much rake as I can't put the info in PT. On that subject, I'm enjoying playing without PT. I'm paying more attention to what players are doing and my note taking is improving.....though I wish when you held the mouse over the 'dot' by a player's name that the notes stayed on for more than a few seconds. It would save scrolling down in the info box on the bottom left.
I started off with a $500 deposit at the beginning of November and am up to about $1450. $350 is cleared bonus with about $75/80 in rakeback .....( coupled with my glorious $50 victory in the ITH freeroll this evening )
gold chips 80
gold cards 2
Have been playing mostly .5/$1 & $1/2 limit full ring. But having cleared 1200 have started playing 2/4 if the table is good. Now I understand why people say it takes so long to clear the bonus at the levels I'd been at. I've already cleared more in the last 3 or 4 days than the last 3 weeks. |

I jumped on the Cake bandwagon a little bit late. I’m playing 3/6, 5/10, 8/16 and 10/20 SH Limit at the moment but I’m not getting in tons of hands as I am quite busy. Right now I’ve cleared off $110 in bonus and I’m up about $600 on the tables thanks to a big session on Saturday night.
I wonder if they are giving out more gold cards than they used to. I only have 25ish Gold Chips but I have about 9-10 Gold Cards already.
BTW what are Gold Cards for? Looks like you can redeem them for cash if you get certain cards, series of cards? |
