|
|
This was addressed a few months ago, but I'd like to know if there's been any changes recently.
What I'm wondering is if there is any converter out there for Cake HH's so they can either be neatly posted on forums, or if there is a converter so they can be loaded into PT?
Thanks in advance |

I believe that there is some software that converts Cake hand histories into Stars format. It is apparently used primarily to get your hand histories into Poker Tracker:

I've never used it, by the way. |

I use it, but purely for personal win/loss record-keeping (and it seems to be somewhat hit-and-miss even on that) and converting the odd hand for posting.
I keep a separate database for Cake data which I swear isn't 100% accurate on my own earnings (but pretty close) and I'm pretty sure gives wrong answers for many other stats.
There is a 2+2 thread here. |

How come it's not 100% accurate? |

I suspect some hands just aren't captured properly. It might have something to do with the extremely frequent timeouts I've been suffering. But don't start me on that. |

Okay hawk.
I tried it myself yesterday... and well, not the most brilliant piece of software I've ever tried.
It's unreliable, doesn't convert properly and just has a lot of problems with some HH's.
As an example, I converted ~3k hands ranging from $0.50/$1 to $2/$4 and out of those 3k only ~1.2k was converted properly.
About 1.5k was converted into $50 NL(and stated I had lost well over 6 grand) and the rest just.. disappeared(this is after importing the converted hands into PT).
Might be somewhat reliable for the odd hand you want to post on the forums, but I would not use this for tracking statistics, or even winnings. |

Am I just being a numpty, or can you only convert more than ten hands if you've signed up for Cake through that site?
I signed up through ITH, so it looks like I won't be able to use it |

| Sorry Scully, I was prepared to ignore the spammy link from a one post guy if it was a useful tool. As it turns out, you were correct that you have to sign up for Cake through them to use the tool. |

| It seems I was being a numpty - not noticing that it was from a one post guy. |

They have a donation option as well now.
If the owners of ITH want to refer people to use the tool they can email support to setup a referral deal. |
