Haha. Ok. This is a bit sad..

But I wanted to get more involved in ITH as I've barely been around since I started work almost a year ago so I'm going to post about something that happened 2 or 3 weeks ago!

I've hardly played at all in 2008. I received a $100 bonus at the beginning of summer from CDPoker and have been playing with that. Turned that in to $800 on NL $1/2 and with that I have played two MTTs all year.

A couple weeks ago I popped in to IRC and got motivated to play an MTT so I entered the $30R at CD.

Finished 4th of about 400 for a score of $1800

Incidentally this is the best result I've ever had, despite me playing about 5-7 hours a day back in the good old days, where my biggest individual cash win was $1500 in the Million and best position 9th (three times).

I certainly felt the pressure was off and I didn't mind gamb00ling from time to time. At the end of the day there is always a pay check at the end of the month...

I've withdrawn the lot (about $2,500) and I'm putting it towards a deposit for mine and my girlfriends first owned flat http://www.tvha-ploughlane.co.uk/

It brought back great memories going deep in to a tournament in the early hours of the morning, chatting on IRC, heart pumping every time I was all-in.

But now it's back to square one with the $100 bonus
