Unfortunately, falling behind at work prevents me from going into great detail at the moment. But I'll quickly mention a few things.
Basically, I had a great time, much more fun than I expected. The ITH tournaments (and cash games) were all the perfect combination of silliness and competitiveness. And it turns out that ITHers, in real life, are not a bunch of boring, drab computer geeks after all. You guys actually have personalities!
I was also quite impressed with how truly awful the non-ITH poker players were at the regular tables. I knew the games would be juicy, but they were really like a dream come true. At one point, Osmosis and I were at a 10/20 table with the prototypical drunk, novice who found it impossible to fold. Fortunately, I was not victimized by his inevitable suckouts. The games were so good that they may have rekindled my interest in playing again, at least live.
It even worked out having my family there. The kids enjoyed the boardwalk (especially Ripley's Believe it or Not), and my wife, interestingly, found it relaxing that there were few things she really wanted to do. She was content to let the kids make decisions on whatever their own timetable was.
It was also pretty cool, I admit, to bring the trophy for the main event to the hotel room. I know how much luck was involved, naturally. But the kids were very excited. (My daughter found it especially significant that I prevailed over "famous poker players.")
My only disappointment was going to a bar afterwards and discovering that I was the only one (among Tanya, Rocketplayer and Sami) who found the volume so uncomfortably loud that I could not stay near the dance floor. Apparently, I really have aged in the past couple of decades.
And now I am dealing with a serious case of "post-convention, overwhelmed with work" syndrome. |

I was going to pass on the potatoes, but - don't tell anyone- I was thinking of getting Mrs. Wynton and/or the little Wyntons something modest. I'm going to wait another day, though, and see if I can get the feeling to pass. |

See this is not an age thing. The secret, quite simply, is to escalate your drinking untill you no longer care about the loudness. |

| I don't recall drinking, you must have been hallucinating Wynton as your Champ status went to your head. |

Nside, Torch, Victim and I joined Rocket, Tanya and Sami for a few rounds near the dance floor later. I'm pretty sure it was too loud. I also have a vague recollection of a strange man questioning Tanya as to whether Nside, Rocket or myself were available to be his dance partner. Nside and I were in general agreement that Rocket would have been this man's first choice as Nside and I are both way too ugly to be gay. Fortunately, Tanya dispelled his illusion that any of us had the orientation for which he was looking, and he went on his merry way. |

He actually asked me later directly.
Somehow I preferred the 3 gorgeous females that asked me some other questions. But of course, they all managed to want to know what I had to spend to enjoy their company
Also had four occassions where I was actually stopped in the casino and asked if I would take a picture with someone. Did I really look that much like Marcel or were those hands I felt just trying to pick my wallet?

Should I be insulted that no hookers approached me? |

You were too busy running away holding your ears and looking for your walker. |
