In June, I cashed out a lot after a $7K win (brag), leaving myself with only $200 online. I ground that back up to the $800 range, then played over my head and busted all the way down to $2. Yuck.
I could have deposited, but refused, and determined to rebuild. I cashed in a few FPPs in the 210FPP satellites (20 players, 6 win T$11) for a start, then started grinding $2.20 180 turbos and $3.25 45 turbos.
I promised myself that I would use good BR management (although I had to start a little thin). I resolved to play $2.20s until I had 100 buy ins for $3.30s. Since there are no $3.30s, and I do not want to play $4.40 180s (not turbo), I decided I would play 1 $12 turbo for every 10 $2.20s, which would average somewhere near $3.30 each.
I refused to look at the lobbies, so knowing which one was the $12 wouldn't affect my play there. I only used the "Info" button for chipstacks, etc.
Tonight I was multi-tabling and won my last one. It was the $12, which I discovered only when it was down to 3 players, WOOT. I now have almost enough to play the $12s exclusively, which I believe I can crush.
This bankroll management thing is pretty cool! I never practiced it before, since it's always been for fun and I never really cared that much if I lost. |

| Thanks to ITH I can say hell yes BR managment works. From someone who started with a $100 deposit last Oct and has turned it into over $50k profit using strictly BR managment I understand the ups and the downs of poker. Anyone who may read this who is just starting out, It is very very important you start playing with a strict BR system and taht you stick to it no matter what you go threw on the tables. |

You seem to have experienced rather a lot more ups than downs! |

Yeah, keep this up, and you'll be a billionaire before 2011! Amazing where BR management can lead. |
