|

I had this e-mail from a reliable source in my inbox moments ago :
| Quote: | Guys,
Heard recently from a very good source that BoDog may be shutting down soon.
Please consider moving any substantial funds out of there that you may have.

I can't confirm anything, but I feel it is important enough to share.

I have an online acquaintence who is trying to build up a bankroll and doing it on Bodog so on his behalf I want to thank you for posting this.
I am guessing if true, this is a fallout from Bodog being more than a poker site and so we should not worry about the future of any sites that are poker only. Agree? |

I believe there was a thread on here (somewhere) that the owner of Bodog was wanted by the U.S.
Could this have anything to do with the current situation? |

If you are talking about Calvin Ayres, make that former owner. The rumor is that Calvin is wanted, but the indictment is sealed. |

I stand corrected.
Thanks for the info. |

| Why would they just close? They have no problems outside the US (and Canada). What am I missing? |

| This is the kind of stuff that stresses the hell out of you when you got just over $40k in the mail on the way. |

http://www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php scroll down to
XI. Archived Hourly Updates. There's quite a few references to Bodog's problems with check processing and the DOJ confiscating 24 million from them - though that's small change to an online poker site. It's hard to see them just shutting down though.
I wondered why the games were so juicy there lately. Gah!! |

| I made my cash out request on 7/31, a little over 40 days ago, which is what they said was the average time it took to process. I wonder if I'm ever going to see it. |

| I have read, elsewhere, that Bodog lost quite a bit of business when they lost their original domain name and have not recovered the lost business. |

I made a request a couple months ago and received the check a week or so ago, you should be OK. |

| They have almost always ran 30 plus days for cashouts by check. |
