So I busted here when there were 2 pretty tiny stacks sitting at the table. Is this just bad luck or should I have been able to get away from this somewhere?

I generally make it 500 pre-flop, but that's a nitpick.

Post-flop depends on what I think of BB. If he's an idiot/unknown, I bet the flop and get it in on the turn (just shoving if checked to). If he's good, I probably go for pot control and try to get to showdown cheaply (I'm less worried about him having a flush draw than a set of aces/tens, or sometimes two-pair).

As played, that check-raise on the turn looks big, but your bet is so weak that I think you probably have to call/shove anyway since you're probably inducing bluffs from weaker aces.

I probably would've shoved the turn rather than play it tricky. Otherwise seems fine by me.

My gut feeling was after the pre flop and flop calls, he had an ace of some variety, I think he was a pretty bad player so I kinda felt here he was going to call me down with A-small, or we were getting it all in with AK/AQ/AJ/AT maybe even A9.. He did infact have AT for 2 pair. The way he was playing,
I felt if I checked the turn he was shoving in a massive bet on the river, or if I pushed the turn I was making him fold A-small.
