|

| I have a pretty old virus detecter, but when i try to download betfred it says there is an imbedded virus called WIN95/coke.22231 . Does anyone know anything about this or has anyone had a similar experience? I'm in touch with betfred but haven't heard from them yet |

Hi fred,
Well, I run NAV (fully up-to-date) and it didn't have any problems with BetFred when I downloaded and installed it. I've been playing there since the start of the month with no problems whatsoever.
What's more, its a nice sign-up bonus and some of the tables are pretty loose |

| It is probably a false alarm. Coke was a polymorphic virus used a random encryption key and has generated a lot of false positives. This was especially true with old versions of McAfee. |

Fred,
If your virus definition file is old, it basically means that you have no antivirus software on your computer.
I would strongly suggest you get something up to date. |

| Keep in mind, that no matter how old your virus stuff is, if you are running old versions of either Norton or McAfee, and buy a new updated package, that both will give you rebates of up to $30. |

Consider your poker playing.
You play poker for a bit and win $100. Hacker logs your keystrokes. Hacker messes up your poker acount. You lose $100. You get angry and go on monkey tilt over the weekend and lose lots of $'s. Overall, -(big)$'s.
You buy an upgrade to your security software, $30-40? You play poker for a bit and win $100. You keep $'s. You smile and realise that the sky is blue and the sun is warm . |

Just so you know, we dont embedd any virus or spyware of any sort into our software.
If you are still having difficulties in downloading and/or playing the Betfred software then please PM me with as much info about the problem as possible and I will get our IT guys to check it out.
Cheers,
Martyn |
