I'm kinda running over the table here so my table image is borderline maniac. I've also been relentlessly attacking the big blind in the last few orbits.

| I'm fairly sure you have the best hand. The big question is will he bet more hands than he calls with? I think it is pretty close, but all in all, I'd rather bet. |

This is going to be very read dependant so I'm actually not sure! His raise could be a draw and then obviously take the free card on the turn. I also see this line with a J and when the A falls he's petrified of being raised. If villain is passive then I'm checking here as he probably just calls with an 8 on the flop. Against an aggressive opponent I think I bet the river to extract value from an 8 but then if you check it he may bluff his missed draw, lol this is tough! If you have been portraying the image of a maniac then I think you might get called down light so I think I bet.
If he bet the turn would you have called?
If you called the turn bet and he fired again on that river do you still showdown? |

1. I think a call down is in order given the draw heavy flop. If he bet again on the river, I would call anything that did not complete oesd/fd.
I would have b/f the turn, if he just calls, c on river. Given OP checked the ace on turn, I would value bet TT on the river. |

I would definitely call the turn. The river is a lot closer and I could go either way. The thing is that he can only have a good draw with T9, which isn't all that likely with me holding two tens. But I would call if my opponent is unknown, maybe fold once I have a read that tells me I am beat too often to call.

I think he calls with any pair, but he might not bet any pair. If I check here, he knows I don't have Ax and will valuebet Jx, but may check behind other weaker pairs. So I lose one bet to a better pair regardless. But by betting, I make sure I also get a bet from worse hands (which I may not get by checking). It's also unlikely he will raise a better one pair hand here as he probably fears I have Ax.
It's true that I might induce a bluff by checking. But if he wanted to bluff, he would probably bet the obvious scare card on the turn.
I thought this was a standard valuebet. In the actual hand, I bet and villain folded. I can't imagine him folding a pair so he was probably full of sh#t. |

| For me this is an easy bet/call. He can call you with any pair, hell even K or Q high, its BvB and you´re considered a LAG/maniac. Checking lets him play perfectly against u. |
