|
|
Having played very little poker these past few months, I figured I should make an effort to play some tournaments before the convention.
This raises the question of what and where I should play.
Keeping in mind that I mostly intend this question as a straight line, what and whom do you recommend I play to prepare myself for this convention? |

The way you play, I'd recommend gathering your money into small piles and lighting it on fire. That should be good practice for the convention. |

No, you've totally misconstrued the straight line. You were supposed to post some funny pictures of chimpanzees playing poker as my suggested competition, or something like that. |

But primarily these
and don't forget
as KT, Tanya, Suited and I are all sweeties |

Geez, do you people remember nothing about last year's? Oh wait, there might be good reasons for that...
Wynton, I'd say there's not much you can do, either your liver is up to the challenge at this point, or there's no hope of getting it ready in the time you have left. |

Increasing your alcohol tolerance might be advisable.

Once I made it to 5-handed in the one tourny I played, I realized some sleep the night before may have been advisable. I didn't even want to play anymore once we were HU. If you play on going deep some prior stamina training is advisable or you could just join the group that sleeps at night.
Work on some break dancing moves, they come in handy after laying a sick beat on someone. |

Be prepared to hear "SHOTS!" reverbrating throughout your head for the entire weekend, and then the following week in aftershock effects.

Maybe I should, instead, have asked what preparations the Taj should be making in anticipation of our arrival.
Extra security?
Additional cleaning services?
Rubber rooms? |

| Without Taz and Nutjob, I worry that our overall alcohol consumption may fall. We need people to take up the slack. |

Losing nukeduke is surely a hit as well, that man can drink a lot before he even shows it. |

| Don't read too much into Tanya pushing all-in. Especially in limit games... |

Unless you carry a spare liver around with you in a cooler, I don't see how this is physically possible.
Do we not need to bring pillows for you to the tournament room this year? |

LOL, naw, I can sleep anywhere at anytime if the need arises. Also, if you recall, it was only a "nap" that lasted about 15 mins and I felt LOVELY afterwards!!
