Hi Barry,

Quick and easy question for you. The game is Full Tilt 1/2 limit FR 9 players. I have not been at the table long, one orbit (15 hands) so I do not have a good read on the small blind. This is our first hand. This game so far is slightly on the tight side. 2-3 players to the flop and raise most of the time. It was short since the table broke soon after (I played 2/17 hands).

It's folded to me on the button with Ace of Spades 7 of Spades and I raise to steal the blinds. The SB 3-bets (he must have read your article) to fold the BB, I call.

The flop is great for me. 7 of Diamonds 2 of Diamonds Ace of Clubs.

Small blinds bets. Here is the question on strategy. Is it better to raise now or wait for the turn. I vote for now since there might be a lot of cards on the turn that will induce him check but bet if he improves. By just calling I can not read his turn action as well.

(for instance if I call and he bets the turn is he betting the turn because I just called or he improved?)

The turn is a Queen of Clubs - he checks and I bet.

I am sure that this is covered in your book somewhere. Rest of hand upon request.

Thanks

Hi. With the flush draw out there, raise the flop. He may take this as a free card try and defend against it by three-betting or betting the turn (raise again). Yes, I know sometimes you will lose.

With no reads on-line, bet the turn. If check-raised, go to show-down. Sorry if you lost, but I can't get away from this hand on-line.

Thanks - Barry as you have gentle pounded in my head losing is part of the game. I just wanted to confirm that the raise on the flop is the best play here.

Sure hope you are feel better and playing your best game. You sounded well on Roundersraido.com.
