Into my third year of online poker now. 1st year was almost solely SNGs, second year almost solely cash games, so it only seems right that I now have a stab at a year of MTTs.

Going to start on the £2 + 25p MTTs on crypto, which usually attract 100 - 200 entrants.

My question is what sort of bankroll do I need to set aside for this, and how much would I have to accumulate until its safeish to start on the £5 MTTs.

Also as a quick side note, any sites which are good for low limit MTTs. I'm looking for tournaments which last in 2 to 3 hour range on the whole, I find it hard to set aside 4 hours + for the stars 180s.

Thanks for your help!

The standard requirement is 100 buy-ins for a tourney bankroll. I find it nearly impossible to set aside that much, but if you want to be able to handle the variance it is a good # to go by.

Does the 100 buy-ins for MTT change for re-buy tourneys? Say you have $500 in your PS account, and you normally play $5 MTT, which is good. Is it the same for $5 re-buys? Or do you have to double the 100 buy-ins to 200 buy-ins?

I'd wonder if you need to at least treble it. If you assume a minimum of 1 rebuy + 1 addon, then it costs you three times the buy-in already. And most people will spend more than that. I don't know what the average is: 5x ?
