This was pot-limit. It is very difficult to lay down kings ever, but against this particular opponent, I would say never, ever, ever, ever. He is a very loose tricky player and he was simply trying to isolate here. Unless he had a physical tell that went awry, I just don't understand it.

The only time I have laid down kings is when it's very very very early in a tourney, level one or two, and I have a big stack. Say 3,000 and the blinds are 10/20 of a MTT. I make it 60 with KK, someone raises me to 180, I make it 500, and then they push without much deliberation.
4th bet almost always means aces.
If my pot odds are 3-1 or better, I'm calling regardless of reads. If it's late stages of a tourney I'm not releasing KK ever. 4th raise in a cash game, or 4th raise early in a MTT. That's the only time I'm releasing.
