My buddy asked me if I wanted tickets to this show. I'm getting a bit old and weak for this. I don't know if I could do it. My first real concert was the show in 1981 (?) in St. Paul. It was the For Those About to Rock tour. |

What a scam ticketmaster are.
Login this morning, no chance on the phone lines so I'm trying the internet route.
No tickets available by the time I get through which wasn;t that long, possibly 15 minutes after lines opened.
However, Ticketmaster provide a handy link to 'GetMeIn' (which is backed by them) where tickets are freely available starting at £148 (face value £40).
So is it just a case that they hoover up a large swathe of tickets for themselves, to then sell on at exhorbitant profit? |

Sucks, fattie. None of the online sellers give much satisfaction when it comes to high-demand tours, and it doesn't help that certain online auction sites do very little to deter touts.
The getmein relationship is pretty sickening. It's not Ticketmaster themselves selling the tickets, but if people buy tickets from ticketmaster then immediately flip them on getmein that's not good form. I guess they've seen that people will buy off ticketmaster, then sell on ebay, seatwave, or other sites, and figured that if touting is going on they might as well get a cut of it. I can't quite belive they're claiming an ethical stance on it though:
| Quote: | | By working together, Ticketmaster and GET ME IN! will set new resale ethical standards for consumers, making sure that every time a consumer purchases any ticket from us, they know what they are buying and that they will always get in to the show. |
