Should I bet turn or not?
3/6 Limit Holdem
6 players
Pre-flop: (1.5 SB, 6 players) Hero is BB
4 folds, SB raises, Hero calls
Flop: (3.0 SB, 2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls
Turn: (2.5 BB, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero ? |

| I check behind and call any river bet. You can maybe valuebet the river when a blank comes there and he checks there again. |

So there's not one river card that you fold? |

Not when you're playing that passively. Normally I would reraise this preflop, but not always. For one it depends on the SB and in any case I'll sometimes just call in order to keep from getting too predictable.
I don't think I value bet this river after a check though. There's just too many overs out there. I'd rather bet the turn and hope for either a win or a free showdown (I'm not arguing that a bet is correct on the turn, it's something I'll sometimes do and sometimes not. I'd hate getting c/r though, especially since I'd have to call against an unknown. Again there's a lot of cards out there that beat you and in this situation a check is usually correct.)
But if you check the turn here he may bet the river with almost any 2 hoping to get you to fold if he has nothing, or hoping his A is good, or hoping that his pp beats your A, or hoping that the A that hit on the river scares you off with his 23 off etc. |

| wouldn't he check the river with A high, or a pair? Since you're playing it so passively I'd think that a check/call would be far more +ev than betting for the villian on the river here. |

| Yes a check sounds good. I think (dont remember) that I bet the turn and checked behind on the river and he showed a 9x. And that´s another reason to not bet sometimes it goes check, check on both streets and I save money against a better hand. |

| I always try to correspond the final pot size with the strength of my hand. On the turn here, you have 4th pair on a nasty board. Why would you want to make the pot bigger? I doubt you're a favorite if more money goes in. You cannot really valuebet, the only way to win an extra bet is by inducing a bluff. |
