I have only heard this like third-hand, so it might be BS.
Apparently, Phil Ivey backed Nenad Medic into the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha event, with the usual 60/40 split deal. Nenad won the entire thing, nearly $800,000. That means Phil earned just under half a million dollars from his stake.
After the event, high on his victory, Nenad spotted Phil in the poker room and came up and asked Phil if he wanted his money now. Phil replies "Who are you and what money?"
Apparently, Phil had delegated the process of finding horses to someone else and didn't even know Nenad or that he had his action.
This takes my number one spot for stories from the WSOP so far. Before this is was the guy who crashed two symbols together at the start of his day one, before getting warned about the 'excessive celebration' rule.

I read this too nside so it probably has some steam behind it. I'm pretty sure I read it on Tao of Poker who seems to always have the inside scoop on this type of stuff.
