Say you had $400 and couldn't play in cash games. What games WOULD you play in?

Why no cash games? Much more practical imo, no set start or finish time, no playing on to the FT when you're tired/tilting, play as long or short a session as possible, follow the fish around, more RB...

Anyway, with $400 you could either go $10+1 STT's, giving you 36 buy-ins (when 30+ is recommended) or $3.30 MTT's (121 buy-ins v 100+ recommended). Of course you could go for the multi-table SnG's and find a happy medium on this scale, e.g. $6 turbo 45 man SnG's. These are the highest limits I would play with a $400 bankroll, of course you can and probably should play lower if you feel you're not up to level. I've always been a bankroll nit, it takes much of the stress away and helps me play my best.

As for what game to play, that's up to you. Obviously holdem is the most popular, but if you find your edge is best at omaha or stud then you should look there.

poker is basically broken up into 2 types of games right now - cash and tournaments (obviously each one having some sub-divisions). So with no cash you'd have to play tournaments.

It depends on how important the BR is to you and if it is replacable.

MTT's are big variance so I would do a mixture of $1/$2 MTT's and also $5 4* table+ SNG's. All at NLH.

Omaha and Stud have more variance and so I would stick with Hold'em unless I got bored.
