|
|
Cake poker charges $35 for a check, which, now that epassporte is gone, is the way I was going to cash out.
Is there any other way for a U.S. player to cash out?
My cake poker days are over if I have to pay to cash out. |

| I was just looking into this myself. As best I can tell, this is the only way to do it unless you find someone to do a swap from one site to another. |

Yeah, don't expect your check anytime soon either, I've had a check cash-out request "pending" for over a week now, support "forwarded" my email about the long cash out pending period to their cashier department but no word so far.
There's enough people still playing the site that I'm not too concerned, considering last time I cashed out it took less than a week thou makes me wonder if something is going on there. Also noticed their rewards store is now "closed for renovations".
I like the rakeback but I've kinda' lost confidence in Cake, after this cash-out goes thru, I'm gonna' pull everything out of there and just go to Stars, no worries, lots of available games. |

I cashed out with "usemywallet". Trust me, it wasn't cheaper then a check.
$30 fee from usemywallet, and my bank slapped on another $22 in fees (bank of america). Total pain in the ass. |

US customers can't use Epassporte, even if they have a had an account for years? I just logged into my account using my email and password and it worked, but after reading this thread I'm afraid to deposit any money into my epassporte account.
Let me know, and also let me know of other options. |

US customers CAN use epassport, just not for poker. Apparently it's pretty big for funding of pr0n.
Oh, and Elmo, check your PMs. |

Find European you trust with a Cake account.
Transfer him all of your money.
Have him cash it out to Neteller.
Have him deposit it to Poker Stars
Have him transfer it to your account at Stars
Cash it out using e-checks |

| echecks on Stars have been messed up for more than a month. I'd go paper check until people start to report getting checks again. |

Supposedly the echecks problems are fixed, I'm waiting on 2 cashouts to hit and it should be Mon or Tue, we'll see. The cool thing is that stars is giving everyone caught up in the mess 20% of their withdrawal with no restrictions I'll report back if/when I get money. |

Yeah, but they did say Monday/Tuesday or we will do x, y and z. The fact that they laid out a plan for the OR side makes me wonder how certain this timeframe is. Given the fact that both Stars and Tilt had similar problems, one assumes that the echecks processor is the same for both and is the cause of the drama.
I work with the NACHA folks and there was a lot of email traffic a month or two ago about the UIGEA and the pressure from Congress to provide better enforcement. The network guys say that it is impossible to categorize and stop specific traffic, but the huffing and puffing probably scared off someone in the process and the eCheck people had to find another avenue. |

I cashed out about a week ago and took the $35 hit. I haven't checked the lobby for the status of the cheque but I'm expecting it might take a while.
Perhaps I'll try and cancel the cheque and then have a Euro ITHer do what Bull suggested for me. |

What is the time frame on receiving money using an Echeck? And $35 fee? Do they send the checks to my home address, or do they send it straight to my bank.
What are other options? I would love to trust an ITH'er with my money in Europe, but...can I? |

Check will get mailed to your house.
There are plenty of ITHers that I trust to move money for money for me. But I've met many of them and I have made friends with lots of them. If you are uncomfortable I'd look for another way. If you can find someone willing to do it with you, you can always check with an ITHer you know better to ask about the person volunteering. |

| Cake was running about 2 weeks to process a check befoe ePassporte died. Recent reports suggest it might be like 3 weeks now, but nothing terrible. |
