I have not played this European based site open to players worldwide.
They offer you 5 pounds for every hour of play up to 5 hours each month. For those math wizzes, play 5 hours and you get 25 pounds.
They only offer LIMIT holdem.

When you sign up for this site, you get the choice of which currency you would like to deposit money (either $, £ or Euro) and once you start playing you will find there are tables going using all of these currencies, but just because you open an account in $, doesn't mean you are restricted to the $ tables.
They pay you £5 for the first five hours that you play every month regardless of the limit you play at.
Sometimes a pop-up screen will appear offering you the chance to open a new table for them, in return for this they pay up to £20 per hour that you are sat at the table regardless of whether another player sits down or not. They stop paying you when either a) they say that the offer has ended (usually between 45 mins - 2 hours), b) you click on the "sit out" option or c) you leave the table. NB they pay part hours, so don't worry about having to sit for a full hour. The £20 per hour is for the higher limit tables, generally, they pay £7 per hour for opening a 5/10 table.
My favourite thing about the site is the players that play there, the typical game is loose/passive.
The software is reasonable & cashing out is no problem (they send you a pin number in the post which you must keep/remember).
They don't offer multi-table tourneys, and they offer a limited amount of single table tourneys at buy-ins of $5, $20, £10 & £30. |

I opened an account there, but was never able to play because I couldn't deposit any money. At other sites I was using IGMPay (which transfers money to and from my bank account) or (personal) check, but this site doesn't have as many deposit options. First, I tried a credit card, but it was rejected. I have a Neteller account that I hadn't used yet, so I figured I'd try that. It had no money in it, but when I cashed out at Party I had it sent there.
Anyways, every time I tried to make a deposit, the only option I got was the credit card. It said that I had to first delete my card details before I could choose another deposit option. But then it never let me delete the details. I kept getting a message that said I had to log out before I could delete the card details. That doesn't make any sense! How can you even go to your account if your not logged in? Nevertheless, I found a "logout" button and clicked it. But then I had to confirm my password before I could do anything in my account, so I guess I was essentially logging in again. Anyways, I tried about 5 or 6 times to delete the details, sometimes "logging out" and sometimes not. But either way it never let me do it.
I contacted their support twice (by email), and both times I got a computer-generated response that told me to delete my card details and then I could choose another deposit option. Arrgh!!!! Obviously, no human had read my emails. My problem wasn't even acknowledged or addressed in their responses. Their alleged phone number for customer support didn't work either. I got a "not a valid number" recording when I tried to phone them.
I went back back and changed all my details in my account. My plan was to wait a little while so I could open a new account with my real details, and deposit from my Neteller account. At the site I couldn't find any way to just cancel the account. But if they don't support Neteller, then it will be a real hassle to make a deposit. The $25 pounds/month bonus sounded so great, and I really wanted to try the site. They just make it so difficult. Their customer support is nonexistent. |

BTW, I didn't rate the site, since I never got the chance to play there.

Yeah, I forgot I had tried their alleged 24 hour support too. You click on a button to chat with a floorperson. I clicked on it and got a message that I was fourth in the queue. After about 10 minutes I was down to first in line, then it was my turn. But then I got a message saying something like "No floorperson available. Try again later." Arghh! Why couldn't I have at least gotten that message right away, instead of wasting my time waiting for nothing? Like you said, all the human staff must be on vacation.

The UK version of Pacific – very poor interface but populated by wonderfully clueless types. Hurray!
Great deposit and checkout options – they will send you a sterling cheque God bless them – no exchange rate worries. I often play a number of tables at WH and Pacific as they are all slow and it is easy to play – fold if facing strong betting else keep betting yourself. Overall – 8. |

I think I have to concur with Liam on this one. I decided to join up for the 25 pounds bonus. I've played my 5 hours for this month and won't be back until February! The games are beatable but I found the software even slower than Pacific. I think when I play next month here I will make my first foray into playing 2 tables at once, probably the other one at Pacific. I found the color scheme to be very hard on the eyes even after just a few minutes.
I gave this site a rating of 6 but wouldn't play there for any other reason than the bonus. If you have a relatively small bankroll and are looking to top it up with some bonus money the 25 punds a month probably makes playing at this site worthwhile, otherwise I would take a pass. |

| I visited their site and it seems to refer to the bonus being payed in pounds and dollars, now this a big difference. Do they play people with US addresses in puonds or dollars. Can anybody attest to how the bonus is paid to US residents? |

| I'm a Canadian resident, signed up with US dollars so as to keep consistent with the other sites I play at and the bonus automatically gets converted into the currency of your choosing, so it works out to about 9.20 US/ hr. |

Got to concur with the general consensus.
Graphics are very confused, too many similar shades of blue makes it hard to see at a glance how many players are in the hand if you are chopping from one table to the next.
The Live support is usually not answered, timed them once and gave up at the 37 minute mark with no response. If they do answer they are pretty clueless.
The email response is a lot better however as this is dealt with by the William Hill people themselves, and not crypto's all encompassing live support.
Definetly better out there, even if you try the other crypto rooms just for the better colour scheme. |

I agree with you all that the customer service is crap and I mean crap in the party poker sense, but the tables and hourly bonus more than make up for it. Where else on the net pays you this type of bonus every month (except littlewoods which is a skin of WHill)!!!
I'm a bonus junkie on this site - I normally play 2 tables at once which makes my $9 hour bonus, $18 per hour and the tables are more than beatable - this site and littlewoods are the sites I am currently using to build up my bank roll as I'm mainly a $1/2 table person so the monthly bonus sure does help your hourly bb ratio shoot up.
But if it wasn't for the bonus there are better sites
N.B As opposed to Whill's $9 / hour, littlewoods the skin pays $9 per 50 hands - which given the speed of play is about the same. |

paulnico, FYI, you and me are in the same boat, although Littlewoods is not a skin of Hills, they are all different skins of the Cryptologic Poker Room, and feed clients onto a common table base.
To increase your bank roll with similar bonuses, in addition to these two there are: Inter casino, Total Bet, UKbetting, Caribbean Sun & Poker Plex. There may be more but these are all I know. Also watch out as Betfair have just signed up with Crypto too, so that will be one more presumably giving the same bonus when they are up and running.
Pity the software is so crap.
(what is your poker name there?) |
