Tournament Network is a new site that specializes in tournaments. We will be using this site to run private tournaments from time to time for Forum members. Customer service has been excellent.

The site is very new and they are actively seeking feedback into how to improve the software.

I am only a low limit player, but I like Tournament Networks games.

Only a $10 deposit to play for money here, which is a good incentive to try them out.

Its fun playing on the $2 maximum no limit table, and depending how badly you want to play, its a great (and cheap) place to expunge your tilt.

The games seem pretty beatable, but you have to watch out for the odd shark (*cough*Carnagex*cough*)

Games play very fast indeed, but the GUI is a little rough, however, it is functional, and provides a color coded bet/raised/called/checked system which I like, tho' I'd love to have an icon that shows I have a note on the player. The lobby software is solid, and informative, tho' I havent figured out how to join a waiting list yet. Very Happy

The biggest problem right now is not enough players for the SNGs, people will stop by and solicit for players, which is not a good sign.

Tourney wise, they play very fast, a little too fast for me (These are only the freerolls, where you start with only 500 TCs)

I don't really like to chat when I play.. but the chat window is very small.

On the whole, they're about average for functionality, and at the low limits (.25/.50 limit and $10 Max NL) the games seem beatable.

Overall, worth dropping some pennies into, if only they had as many players as Pacific (Preferably the same kind too) and make the TCs in Multis at least 800.

Tournament wise,

Not many tourneys going at tournament network! Any time I've been there the SNG's don't fill up. There's just a few ring games going on.

The cards are REALLY UGLY. Can't stand them. Better-looking cards should be a pretty simple thing to change.

In a nutshell: the site is adequate, but other sites are more than adequate, and have many more games going. So, why bother going to TN?

They've got to do something different if they expect to draw people away from Party and Stars. It's kind of like they're a generic product, but at brand-name prices.

Right now I'd rate them about 3. Since they're seeking feedback, though, I'm holding off a couple months before voting in the poll, to give them time to improve.

UPDATE: Tournament Network SUCKS.

Just tried playing two tables, and it didn't automatically switch from one to the other when it's your turn to act! Extremely aggravating. Evil or Very Mad

You have to change your preferences for the tables to pop up. I had the same problem and kept timing out until I figured this out.

Which preferences are you referring to? What exactly do you change?

Go to a table and click the O in the top left corner. Unselect: "Disable auto switch between tables" This should make it your default from then on.

I gave this site a "6". I like it mainly because I'm winning there. I deposited $50 just over 2 weeks ago, and it's now up to $200. I play mainly the $5 max NL tables. It's a great way to practice NL without risking much. They usually have 4 or 5 tables at this level, and I will play 2-3 at a time. But if you want higher NL games, or limit games, there is isn't much to choose from.

They don't have many tournaments either, and I haven't tried one. I think it's deceitful that they call some of their tournaments "freerolls". I checked these out after I registered (but before I had made a deposit). Yes, there's no buyin, but then they only give you 400 chips to start, so you're forced to rebuy, which is $3 (and gives you an additional 800 chips). And then the add-on (for 1600 more) is $6. I have never seen another site that only gives you 400 chips to start. Of course, their other tournaments start with 800 chips. It's only in the "freerolls" that you start with only 400 chips, apparently to ensure that nobody actually gets a real free roll.

The software is okay. As mentioned above, the default is set so that it doesn't automatically bring up the table when it's your turn to act. You have to change the preferences. A lot of players don't know that yet, so you do see a lot of people timing out, and it slows down the game. Also, when you do time out, you end up missing an additional hand, because it's only after the next hand starts that you get the option to be dealt in again. Another thing, if you initially select "wait for big blind", but then the dealer button passes you because a player leaves, you don't get the option to post from the cutoff. You have to wait for the bb to come around again. I tried to write to their support about this, but my email was bounced back to me.

I occasionally get disconnected, but when it happened the problem might have been with my connection, not the site. But despite all this, overall the software works well with few problems. And I would recommend this site to anyone who is interested in low-max NL games. The games are beatable, easier than at similar levels at PokerStars. There are some players who know what they're doing, but there's also a lot of poor players.

TN has upgraded their software which has some cosmetic changes as well as some software improvements.

I like this site, like ladybug, for NL micro games. Good way for those of us to start out in NL ring games.

Customer service is great....hopefully they will be able to build their traffic.

I just signed up, for both the bonus and the weekly league starting soon.

The only complaint I have right now is that there is never a limit ring game going. .25/.50 - .50/1.00 - 1/2 - 2/4 I can't seem to find a table with 2 people at it (after I sit down).

This bonus may take a while...

Don't like this site, bonus scheme is hard to understand, not many players. I also tried to withdraw twice in a week only to get a message stating I'd withdrawn my limit for the week, what crap!!, it's my cash and I should be able to withdraw it when I like. With the other choices out there why bother with this site.
