Okay, I don't see this site reviewed. They have an outrageous bonus going-- 10k percent, up $1000 max deposit! Does anyone play there? Is it worth d/l'g the software, or another Poker Mountain-carrot-on-a-stick?
Edit from Admin: Included a Poll and a link to Hollywood Poker
Edit-Edit: As I was locking this for our new revamp, I wondered, how did a poll get in my thread lol... and further, how did a poll get in Hollywood that is titled Bodog Poker?! I don't know if anyone voted or not, but I'll change the name to Hollywood, and carry on...

River.....think Hollywood is a skin of Poker Room. Same interface (possibly different color scheme, like Empire/Party but haven't seen it.) Same games.
I honestly don't know how Hollywood sets up their bonus clearance, but the recent rake changes have created a rather high rake at certain limits.
Right now, I'm chasing at Poker Room at 1/2, and the rake changes do seem to be making it quicker to clear. Going much faster than expected. But would not play there without a bonus. Not sure how these changes have impacted 2/4 and 3/6, the levels you are playing at. Might check out some of the threads on the Poker Room rate increase.
Honestly, don't know if I will chase again. Don't much care for the interface. Very choppy (on my 'puter at least) and slooow. Somtimes the action buttons pop up before both my cards have arrived.
I guess if you can handle the software long enough to clear a large bonus it would be fine. |

The bonus is really up to $10,000 and you have a year to clear it.
The info below is from the BW website:
The bonus is both a $10K Reload and a $10K Sign-Up bonus.
The same conditions hold true for both bonuses:
1,000% up to $10,000 ($1,000 deposit required for max bonus)
Neteller must be used to deposit
365 days to clear
Bonus clears in increments of $50.
15x for $9,000 of the bonus, with the last $1,000 coming as a 0x bonus. (Making the whole bonus a 13.5x bonus.) |

Yes. I didn't have to do anything to have accounts at both. It let me and I didn't even get the standard phone call you get at Party skins. |

there is a thread on Bonuswhores that you'll need to play like 10 hours a day to clear the bonus in a year.
Not sure if that is true but at least some releases as you go. |

Right, in increments of $50. I don't anticipate getting the whole thing, but having a starndard bonus to work on sounds all right. Here's the BW review page of Hollywood Poker. http://www.bonuswhores.com/hollywood-poker.php Pretty intensive, but I'm sure you math geeks will eat it right up. I'm d/l'g the HP software as I type. Remember, you have to sign up at HP through BW! Plus, you need the BW code to get the 1k% bonus. Sorry I kept calling it a 10k% bonus. Deposit $1k and you get $10k bonus. Capiche? (Such a drag that I'm math dislexic [sp]).
BW says PT supports the site, so I'm trotting over there to get that lined up. If it's like PR, then you need that sql driver, which since I already have it, hopefully everything will just work! whatta concept.... |

I'll prob chase Hollywood once I finish off some of the Party skin bonuses first.
Btw is the SQL driver on the PT forum? |

| Yes, fleury. If I wasn't in the middle of an sng, I'd go get you the link. It should be easy to find. Let me know if you have any problems. If it's not on the front page, do a search for sql driver. Also, I think it's in the help block, right in PT under auto-load PR hh's. |

I havn't read that thread but I'm assuming that they are talking about the smaller limits - I figured it out about a week ago and at 5/10 you would have to play ~3000 raked hands a week to clear it in 1 year. Also there will probably be added promotions involving those points like the ones that pokerroom runs. |

| You'd have to play at 5/10 and above for this 15 X bonus money to clear more quickly than Absolute. Absolute clears faster than this at 3/6 and below limits. |

| Very suspicious play - terrible players consistently winning. I lost 9 times in 30 minutes with very strong hands that someone chased with nothing. Horrible interface that makes it difficult to play multiple tables. Takes FOREVER to clear even a small chunk of Bonus. Not worth it. |

Tried out Hollywood Poker this week;so far it looks ok.Players at .15/.30 are pretty soft;although last night's session was rough as I ran into a wild loose table.Only got paid off on a few pots though;the rest were flops that I missed. Also lost to some runners and gutshots but for the most part it was a good learning experience.
Like the PR skins it's resource intensive;and I did notice my play suffering with 4 tables.I think 2-3 tables is more opitmal for me. |
