| I don't play a lot of omaha, but I'd probably bet the river. |

I even was afraid to bet the turn. On the river another higher straight was possible. I would have lost to anyone holding a 5 and an 8 or an 8 and a 9.
I frequently have problems in evaluating the strength of my hand. I have more than once folded the best high hand to a bet and raise on the river and more than once called, when I probably should have folded. |

| A useful concept here is in a heads up pot, your two way hand can be rather mediocre if it takes all four of opponents cards to beat you. Here the aggressopr must show down exactly A258 to scoop you. Additionaly, getting quartered is +ev for this betting round, considering what's already in the pot. You are a good deal better than mediocre both ways. You can get scooped, but it won't happen that often. The actual hand isn't heads up, but only one opponent is playing strongly. So I say well played, even if you lost money. If you happened to scoop a maniac, all the better. |

Thank you, I really scooped the pot in this example. When I'm heads up I tend to overplay weaker hands, I think, but I will probably post one or two examples soon. |

6 saw the flop, 5 saw the turn, 5 saw the river, 3 went to showdown.
Second nut low and third nut high scooped the pot on a check-call? Geez. Time to start playing 2/4 at UB. Please check the hand history and tell us what these morons were playing.
I check-fold the flop with 5 opponents, BTW. You are drawing to second-best low and have a gutshot to second nut straight (which becomes third nut straight if an 8, 9, or 10 hits the river, and is virtually dead if a heart or pair comes). |

I think you have to consider the game before check-folding the flop. 50% of the time there is no A2. If most of the 4 callers would usually raise with A2, or if 4-5 players usually see the turn, then this rather passive betting won't run me off this hand. Non nut straights require discounting, but don't always lose, and you have four deuces to the low nuts.
I generally don't raise A2 until late position, but will often call-reraise with it if given the opportunity when the hand has an additional feature (4, 5 or good high cards). Build the pot, don't cut the field preflop with A2. |
