First, we'd like to take a moment to apologize for all the delays and lack of updates. We were very close to launching a new league, with just a few technical difficulties to work out with the poker sites regarding the final event plans, when the UIGEA hit and made it nearly impossible to do much of what we had intended. On the plus side, we at least managed to not have a running league ruined by these events.
With things changing every day still, and the uncertain nature of how the WSOP will play out this year, we aren't going to be able to run a WSOP league this year. We are, however, on the verge of launching a new league at Poker Stars, which should start the weekend after the Super Bowl. I'll have more details when we officially launch, but count on more than just NLHE, bounties on ITH staff (and others), and some nice added prizes.
To start, we will be running one event per week. We'd like to keep all the events at times that are at least semi-accessible to both our American and International members. We will be alternating the event schedule from week to week to help cover a better range of times, though, so anyone with suggested times/dates should post here to give me an idea of what will work best.

I'd kind of prefer it to be set for one time that doesn't change so that I can schedule for it, but I understand the value of moving things around. I like early Sunday afternoon best, personally. |

Well, we'd probably like to shoot for two times, alternating weeks, with each skewed toward one demographic, but I'm open to whatever will get the highest turnout.
Question on Sundays, is potentially conflicting with major Sunday tournaments an issue? |

Only for our good players, who should have to deal with the added distraction of multi-tabling to level the field the a little bit  |

Great News! I'm ready to donk off some cash. Sundays are good for me now. I'm no longer working weekends.(actually not working at all right now-taking a break) Since I'm on the west coast, early is OK with me.
I'll need to reload the Stars account.
Hope we rotate the games, NL, Limit, HORSE, etc. Good all round poker. |

We'll still probably be about half NLHE, but I'm planning on getting as many other games as I can into the mix. |

I'm still awaiting some final details on how we're going to run eveything, but lest we fall behind again I'm going to announce the first event as a $10+1 NLHE tournament to be held at Poker Stars on February 11th, tentatively at 1pm EST.
There is now a 2007 League Participants user group, please join that to be kept apprised of updates as we go forward.

| Been looking forward to this for ages. Seems like a good plan so far. A mix of games sounds great too, it will certainly make it more interesting. |
