Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

UTG: $12.20
MP: $10.20
Hero (CO): $10
BTN: $4
SB: $9.90
BB: $10.20

Pre-Flop: Queen of Clubs Queen of Spades dealt to Hero (CO)
UTG calls $0.10, MP folds, Hero raises to $0.50, BTN calls $0.50, 2 folds, UTG raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $10 and is All-In, BTN folds, UTG calls $8.50

Villian was not a tight player. I was thinking that if the flop comes all low cards Im probably getting it all in anyways so I pushed preflop.

You guys play it the same?
Thanks for any feedback.

Results: $20.65 Pot ($1 Rake)

The old limp re-raise from UTG is always almost AA/KK, i've seen it done with JJ & AK as well. I would take a flop and re-assess on the flop.

If you shove your getting called by hands that beat you more times than not or your flipping with AK/AQ. Your going to fold out all the hands you beat if you shove more times than not.

so you have position post flop, so take a flop & outplay him. Let him make the mistake. I agree if the flop is 582 its going to be hard to get away from.

short version: He'll fold weaker hands if you shove preflop, maximize EV but just calling and outplaying him post flop.

I see no reason to shove there preflop.

First of all, if villain is not a tight player, I think QQ vs his range after opening from CO and getting cold-called = the nuts (because it's a great situation for squeezing for him).

But why do you shove here?

Shoving here will make it easy for him, meaning he can fold his junk, can fold his low pairs, bad aces etc, and will only stick it in with TT+ (if he's bad) and AK.

On the other hand, either 4-betting smaller instead of shoving allows him to do something stupid. I do not really like just calling here vs a 3bet but would definitely consider it vs a 3bet this small. But even just calling here is superior to shoving here I think.

Personally, I would 4bet here to like $4 and call a shove (allow him to do something stupid with TT/JJ etc) or call if his small 3bet sizing stood out for me.

In short though, how would you play AA and KK here? In this situation, I think playing it the same is the most optimal line.
