Quote:
The investigation into the WCOOP Main Event has now been concluded.

We have determined, based on the totality of evidence, that the tournament winner “TheV0id” was in breach of the PokerStars Terms of Service.

In the interests of Game Integrity, “TheV0id” has been disqualified from first place.

All other WCOOP Main Event prizewinners in addition to the player who originally bubbled in 415th place will therefore advance one place in the prize pool. The necessary financial adjustments to reflect the revised tournament places will be made within the next 24 hours.

Please note that we are unable to release further details of this investigation, for reasons of confidentiality and privacy.

Stars have not said what exactly he was found guilty of, but they have confirmed that he has violated the terms of service agreement and therefore forefeits the win, 1.2M and everone that played gets bumped up one place.

His account is known to play mid/high stakes NL cash games and it seems widely known that it was Mark Teltshers (sp?) sisters account. It is not known who was playing the account that won but obviouly not his sister who doesnt play poker.

Marks well known other account also played in the tournament.

From another thread herein.

Quote:
Having read much of the speculation in this and other similar threads, I feel compelled to clarify a couple of points.

1. The account that won the WCOOP main event was played from the same computer and the same IP from the start of the tournament until the finish.
2. No other account played from this same IP or computer, during the tournament.

Having stated the above, there are still serious open questions that require the investigation to continue.

Rest assured that the purpose of this investigation is to ascertain the facts of the case in their entirety. The outcome that is reached will be based on those facts alone and no regard will be paid to speculation or outside pressures.

What a freaking idiot, I bet this guy feels like a real moron lmao.

Is there any way he can fight it in court? Or is this the last we will here of it?

That moves Vanessa Rousso up to second place, and Josh Arieh up to 5th.

I assume he used remote access to operate his sister's computer and account from his computer.

I've remotely accessed my home computer to play a tournament in the past... I hope that doesn't become impossible to do. Now that I think about it, though, I guess it would be worth losing that ability to prevent multi-accounting, etc.

He'd be wasting his time trying though, if Stars have done this he's nailed on guilty.

Funny/sad thing is that Rousso and Chad Brown likely colluded as well... as they both played... ended up on the same table and there were a couple of iffy hands posted between them. There is no way to prove this type of thing though and I'm sure that Stars wouldn't want to go after one of their own representatives.

Darvon, Stars never said what the guilty charge was... it is widely known that that account is often played by someone other than the owner of the account.

I think Josh Arieh was also band from Stars a few years ago for multi accounting (according to something i read on 2+2), hes had 2 or 3 accounts since then.

I wonder if they will do anything about him.

Stars has said that the investigations of everybody is complete... there is a very small likelihood that any further action will be taken against anyone.
