Still can't quite believe it but late last night I won a $13.5k Main Event package on Party! I'm going to the World Series - amazing!
Finished in the top 3 of a 74-player $580 sat to win. Last Monday I qualified for the sat with a $64 entry. Got some good cards and a little bit of lady luck (ok, maybe a lot!) when I needed it, but I got through!
Can't wait 'til July now. Oh my god - I can't believe I qualified for the Main Event! |

Congrats hazey! Good-luck in the ME.
You should be sure to try and meet-up with some of the ITHers while your down there. They are a great bunch and it is always a fun time.

Thanks guys - appreciate it.
A couple of days later, it's starting to sink in - although I do keep having random flashes of "omg, I'm going to the main event!". Initially (well, the first 50-odd times) my wife shared in the excitement but now I can tell she's starting to roll her eyes a little... 
This will be my first time in Vegas too so whatever happens it's going to be great fun. And hopefully I may even get to bump into one or two ITHers while we're out there. Really looking forward to it.

Vegas has a tendency to totally embrace you and all small "would be nice" things to do goes out the window. At the WSOP its even crazier as the RIO is packed with people.
A small suggestion is to plan in advance to meet up with the people u like to meet.
Talking from experience as my first WSOP trip was filled with 24/7 side games... only brushed by the guys I had been looking forward to meet...
