| Do you recommend it Matt? I was thinking about getting it. Please give us a short review. From what I've seen it is divided into sections written by different authors. What's your take? |

Well, I am the publisher and worked on this book extensively with the authors - so I am biased . Having said that, I think the book is a must-read for all tournament players. This book is different from most other books in that it is solely hand examples. Each author selected interesting hands to discuss. I also selected 20 hands at the end of the book where each author commented on the hand. It makes for interesting comparison of successful styles. I think you'll find it quite valuable.

If you are playing MTTs this book is a must read. Each of the author's takes 50 of their own hands and walk you through the entire thought process of why they played it the way they did. They each have very different styles and that is why this is such a great book.
They then all three dissect some of Matthew's hands which is also great since you get each of their takes on how they would do it, etc.
All these players have been so successful that you'd be crazy not to want to read what they say. They also all write very well which isn't true of every poker book out there. |

Half way through it, but interesting read so far. I think I need to reread each hand and dissect some of them in more detail.
These are mostly hands that we see in tournaments on a regular basis and have trouble with, and each thought process is explained. An area that is brought up frequently is pot control, which is certainly a something I need to work on in my game.
One hand I did like is Pearljammer's "Limp n Go" move. Certainly one to add to your arsenal.
It's not a book for beginners. |

So, my wife wanted to get her hair done today at a JC Penny's salon which happens to be next to a Barnes & Noble. I decided I could kill an hour and read some poker books. I finally find this one and was absolutely blown away. I was going to just read a book and leave but felt obligated to buy this one.
Great book, way to go everyone involved! |

So I wanna get this book. What's the best way to do it that gets the most benefit to Matthew/ITH?
I am not interested in signing up for any more poker sites, so I don't know if I can get it through here otherwise? Or should I just do Amazon? |

I'm fairly sure that Matthew would make the most money if you bought it through the ITH online store |

Done. For some reason I never knew there was an ITH store. I thought all we had was the sign-up deals and such. |

I am not one for buying books through the mail as I am pretty particular about the condition of my books, but I believe in Matthew and his company so strongly that I will be buying this book through the ITH store.
I am happy to say that at least one Barnes And Noble in my area now has this book in stock. |

just started the book and my first impression is this is also great for cash games.
I'm assuming later in this book, and certainly in vol 2, it will be more tourney specific.
Love it so far! |
