I just returned seconds ago.
WE ARE NOW IN TWILIGHT. I will post the execution scene soon, once I get a little coffee.
I am going to reprint part of the early instructions for convenience here:
"Twilight - Once the King posts an execution, no more posts may be made, not even by the King. Twilight will last until I come in and post the execution scene.
Night - All players make their night actions except the Kingmaker. Once I have all the choices, we enter Dawn.
Dawn - I post the death scene, but the thread doesn't open yet. Once the Kingmaker knows which players are still alive, they secretly PM the new King choice to me. Once I reveal who the King is, the thread will be opened in Day. If the Kingmaker died, a new Kingmaker will be chosen in Dawn." |

Pie, I think in that scenario, the king is assumed to be a known innocent. If we don't know the status of the king at that point, and he's assassin, and there's another assassin still in the game, they win anyway. (DUCY?) |

I was talking about a 1 mafia situation. Whether the king is a known innocent or not, the problem and indeed the solution are the same. |
I knew you'd CY 
Anyways... so if all we know is that there is one mafia, which Wynton will tell us when we get to it, but we don't know if the king is mafia or not, then I probably like your method. |

GRRR, Violators in my first mod game.
No one is supposed to post anything after the King makes his execution choice. I locked the thread, as soon as I got a chance, but apparently Cyb was able to post because he's a big muckety-muck with general moderator powers.
Determining an appropriate punishment is tough because: (1) Votes don't count in this game, aside from the king's; and (2) I neglected to announce a particular punishment.
For these reasons - and because I believe this violation was unintentional - I am going to let this violation go with a stern warning, and make clear what I think is my only available punishment method.
ANYONE WHO POSTS WHEN THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO WILL HAVE THEIR RIGHT TO MAKE POSTS SUSPENDED FOR A PERIOD TO BE DETERMINED.
Of course, second offenders will be treated more harshly. |

YOUR MOD IS AN IDIOT AND IS EDITING THIS POST TO REMOVE THE EVIDENCE.
I have a quick streamline idea.
The rules indicate that the kingmaker makes the choice of the next king AFTER the night action has occurred and been announced. But it occurs to me that this might cause some unnecessary delay.
Thus, if the kingmaker wishes to indicate his or her decision for king during the night period, that is fine with me. The choice may be negated by the night action; for obviously, the kingmaker can't choose someone already dead. In that case, the kingmaker will have to tell me another choice anyway. But it may well be that the choice survived the night action and is available.
So, I grant the kingmaker the option of sending his or her choice to me during the night, before the night actions are announced.
If anyone's unclear about this or has an objection, let me know by PM and, if necessary, I will make another announcement.
(This is what happens when you have an idle moderator. Lots of announcements.) |

It was not exactly what one might call a peaceful night in the Kingdom of ITHicvania. First, the citizens were horrified to discover a rather long body strewn across Main Street. It was not long before they realized that Tall Paul had been viciously slain. The fact that he was left with his meager property made it clear that this was a political assassination.
For Tall Paul was not just an ordinary citizen, but the beloved Hero, who had dedicated his life standing up for the common man. Obviously, the mob could not allow such a figure to survive.
At the same time that TP's body was discovered, however, another body was found in the bushes. Closer inspection revealed that it was none other than our recent King, TheRivieraKid. Apparently, there was a Vigilante in the town's midst, and he decided to use his sole bullet against a king he considered mighty suspicious.
Indeed, while TRK's royal robe was removed, the coroner found a strange tattoo over his chest, the telltale mark of evil. TRK was a member of the mob!
It is now Dawn. Kingmaker, PM me your choice for today's King. The day will start once I receive that choice |

 That was about the weirdest night phase I've ever seen.
Vig - I kinda wanted TRK around today to get info out of. Not sure I agree 100%, but nice shot.
TP - Sorry...the reason you looked so suspicious to us must have been the same reason you looked like a special to the mob. |

MX was an interesting choice for king. I kinda like the idea of using the throne as a microscope to look at suspicious players...but we can only afford to do that so many times.
MX - how do you plan on running things today? What is your early slate? |

As King MX enters his royaled room, he climbs slowly atop his chair. He begins to speak to his followers:
Today is a good day my fellow townsfolk! We have come one step closer to being able to find a full time replacement for us. As I take my place for the day, I reach out and hereby declare today to be a day of the sacrifice.
Award #1 goes to SJ, who came to our town very late and sacrificed himself for the benefit of the town. I crown thee Knight SJ.
Award #2 goes to TP. One who truly dislikes day 1 and a beloved innocent from my eyes. I crown thee Knight TP.
Award #3 goes to.....wait, who does award 3 go to? Our master vigilante has struck with deadly accuracy on our very first night. Usually reserved for a much later time, they have reached out and put a bullet between the eyes of our former king.
Now we shall move forward. This is what I ask of each of my townsfolk. There has been talk of what is best to help us, votes, lists or slates. I ask thee to prepare the following:
A list of all of our current townsfolk left, ranked in order of your most innocent to most guilty.
Secondly, build a slate from your list, and then finally cast a vote from your slate.
Those that do not comply will face a harsh reality come dusk. |

Fair enough MX. Will take some time to get them to you, but I will.
A dirty TRK suspected 3 people before he off'd SJ - you, TP, and San. What do you make of youself being on that list?
TRK also did a 180 last night, switching from San to MX and TP with basically no reasons. NJ grilled him over it. My gut says NJ looks better and San a bit worse. Time for a reread of TRK, but not sure how much he gave away if anything. |
