Party Poker according to Scapegote,
Pros: Most beatable games in general anywhere on the net. Lots of players, shouldn't have any problem finding the game you want. Enviroment is good. They are working on improving it as well. Some of their new improvements such as the hide full table's buttons, and the higher limits are very welcome.
Cons: Recently they've had more traffic then their servers can handle, games have been lagging and even ocassionally crashing. I'd like to see them run more frequent multi-table tourney's. Also their buddy list could be improved with the ability to see which table certain players are at.
Overall, great site, my main site because of the ease of games and constant single table tourney action.

Best games on the net, and that is what it is all about.
The software is just fair, it will not win any awards from me as there is a lot that is lacking. If you want to play at a site that has great software, play at Ultimate bet.
If you want to get on a table with a bunch of real loose players and win some money then play at Party/Empire/Multi Poker.
Just my opinion

My favorite site on the net. The games are much looser at Pacific, but too loose for my tastes, plus the software at Pacific is really bad, not just a little bad.
Very beatable games. Plenty of fish.
My biggest complaints are with the lobby software. It is hard to get into a good game. They lack the % seeing the flop statistic that is available at most other sites. Often times you cannot get on a waiting list for a table, you need to get on a waiting list for a cetain limit based on minimum number of tables. When the tables open up, you are flooded with invitations to sit at tables, and can't really evaluate them before choosing, as every time you try, one of the invitation dialogs pops back up in the way, and when you get to a tale within the time limit provided, they may have given away your seat. Very frustrating.
They have the most action of all the sites, and the single table tourneys are as beatable as the ring games. The bonuses are as good as any, and the cashoutprocess is fast.

I agree with all of the above, except I've never had connection problems or clunky gameplay there. It's been smooth so far, so maybe they're working on fixing whatever problems they've had.
They definitely need to work on their waiting lists. Most of the time, as Rob stated, you can only wait for a certain limit, and if you don't like the table it assigns, you have to wait to get back in line and then wait some more.
Their low-limit SNG's are very frustrating if you don't have a super-fast connection. As soon as I see an open table and click, it's already full and dealing. There is no waiting list.

A great site – never had any slowness or connection problems myself. I play with all animations off – is this a factor?
Plenty of good games but hard to shop for them. Lobby definitely requires improving. Overall – 9. |

| PartyPoker is my favorite poker site because it has the most players. I can always find a $2/$4 game and have a few choices on table. They also have a lot of single table tournaments running and it's usually not a long wait for 50+5 or 100+9 tourny. I don't care for the graphics or table perspective that much and would be nice if they provided the % seeing the flop. |

| Could any of you tell me if having played at Party Poker for a month or two, I could try a mirror site, like (I believe) Empire Poker and still be eligible for any sign up bonus there? |

Not since mid-December. They don't allow new mirror site signups. They're either using ISP or Email to figure out who already has an account at a mirror site. Either way, for anyone wondering, I wouldn't try to fool them, since you could get locked out of all of them.

I don't understand the love for the most overrated poker site on the Internet. I have been playing at PartyPoker for a couple of months now. During this time I have experienced:
4 multi-table tournaments that have crashed during the tournament. Two were abandoned (money refunded) and two were eventually back up after more than 1 hour.
6 times the connection has beeen lost for an extended period of time. This is not MY connection to the Internet (as everything else was working fine), but a system crash on PP itself.
Terrible customer service. Try to get ahold of a floor person, it is virtually impossible.
Terrible language, cheating, and poor sportsmenship in Chat that PP does nothing about.
Goodbye PP. |

They are going through growing pains. You will see this at most sites when the get an influx of new players. When I started playing, this was the problem at UB, so I went to party. Now UB handles their load and party is having problems. They'll get the servers updated quickly I hope.

I thought about opening an account with PP, however, I am on hold as far as funding it goes due to their crappy software and their horrible customer service.
I do hear mixed reviews though. |

Party Poker is absolutely my favourite of the major poker sites.
Firstly, there's always plenty of action, even at 'slow' times of day. You can get onto a table without having to wait more than a few seconds, especially at the low limits. This means you don't lose so much time changing tables as at some other sites.
There are sufficient weak players, at least at the low limits, that even a bozo like me can make a modest profit. Admittedly the user interface isn't that great looking, but unlike many players I kinda like the 'avatars', it feels more like playing real people.
Customer support is a bit sluggish, though. Still, with the amount of traffic on the site I guess they have a lot on their hands. |
