I am a little suspicious of the OP's claims given that the list contains (at least) one book that has/have not even been published yet. Which one(s)? Sorry, I read the entire list and you will have to do the same.
I do wonder if the OP listed the book(s) to see if anyone would read the entire list. When I posted my my most recent list on another forum, I deliberately gave one book as being The Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide: Cash Game Edition. No one has yet to point out that fake book. |

As someone who has about 75 books (and a couple of hundred poker magazines) myself, I might have the answer. First, it starts as a desire to read to improve, but then you start playing and this takes your time away to read. But you keep buying books with the intent of finding time to read but you don't. You continue to buy, despite having no time to read, so that you don't end up missing that one book that will turn out to be your holy grail.
Okay, okay. I admit it. I misunderstood when someone told me there was money to be found in poker books. I did not realize what they meant (and kept searching for those benjamins) until I had bought all these books. |

DN's books is (pre)ordered, obviously I don't actually have it physically in my possession, although I would argue that I do indeed "own" it (having paid for it already).
Not sure as to the "at least" part, but good catch on that one book.
Not really sure how to post/upload images on this forum, but I would gladly put up a pic-- not that I really care if you are suspicious at all, but if it was easy enough to do, why not....
I'm not missing much (there are a bunch of intro/beginner books that I don't feel the need to acquire), but here are some:
Free Money: How to Win in the Cardrooms of California by Michael Wiesenberg
Secrets of Professional Limit Hold'em: Learn how the Pros Think by Carl Sampson
Poker's Strangest Hands: Extraordinary but True Stories by Graham Sharpe
52 Great Poker Tips: At Home, Tournaments and Online by Lou Krieger
Queens Can Beat Kings: Broad-Minded Poker for Winning Women by Susie Isaacs (Isaacs has other books, something like '1001 Poker Tips' and one other one too, I think)
Girls' Guide to Poker by Eliza Burnett
Hand I Played: A Poker Memoir by David Spanier
The Little Book of Poker by David Spanier
(I have, however, read both the Spanier books by way of library loan)
Women's Poker Night: Stories and Strategies from the Feminine Side of the Felt by Maryann Morrison (Editor)

You can skip anything by this writer. His books are pretty bad and add nothing to the poker lexicon. |

If a book never comes out, do you really own it? Seriously though, you own the rights to a copy, but you don't own the book in my opinion, but I see your point. |
