I don't like the limp with M=6. I think it's a fold. I like the c/r on the flop though. Wink Compare this to hand 223, listed below.

I'm new to the M= stuff but isn't it closer to a M of 9? Formula I know of is chip count / blinds+ante (5835/650). M=9 would be borderline call/all-in IMO, M=6 is definitely an all-in IMO, respectively. Wink

You need to count the cost of antes for the full round, so it is not 600+50, it is 600+450. 5835/1050 = 5.56

Alright cool, that's something I probably overlooked when I saw the formula. Thanks for pointing that out. So in this position with an M of 6 why limp w/ 44?

I'm somewhat inclined to open fold both, table conditions dependent. I'd rather shove the first one than limp, though. I'm not super-keen on the raise-fold of the second one, but it's probably the best plan.

Also, there's no check-raise in the first one, hero has position.

Interestingly, I had the pocket 6's in a very similar situation late on in a big (for me) tournament tonight, fortunately I'd been card dead for a while so my raise probably looked uber strong and it got folded round. It was raised on IRC as possibly being a fold situation, I have to admit my main reason for raising it was that it was the only hand I'd seen in an age and it would look stronger than it was.

What are people generally doing with these cards here?

I might just push all-in pre-flop. Small pairs are good for this and there are anti's to win too.

I might also just call the flop. BB has a 100% range to start with so I think the situation is ok to slowplay. I'm short so I'm happy to take the risk to win more chips.

Oh there's another one.

2/

Looks ok to me. Raising here with 66 is not too far off Harringtons ranges. Harringtons full stack range is 99+ but with a shorter stack he might go down to 88 or even 77.

Folding should be ok to the re-raise as the hand is near the bottom of the range BB might expect.
