I played a fair bit of NL cash last year, but didn't really get the hang of it too well. Whenever I played I was clearing bonuses in the background which I think distracted me a lot and caused me to play too many tables at once. This year I'd really like to work on my game, I think it'd help a lot of I base all of my play on one site. I've been doing some research as to where to play, here's what I've come up with so far... it'd be good to get some input/ideas.
FYI I'll be playing NL$50 and NL$100 to begin with, and only around 5-6k hand a month.

Stars
Pros - Awesome software, awesome support, FPPs.
Cons - No rakeback, no bonuses, no freerolls.
Full Tilt
Pros - Great software, 27% dealt rakeback, frequest bonuses, monthly affiliate freeroll, FPPs.
Cons - They won't accept switch!! Neteller seems like the only way to go, however neteller closed my account due to a 'dispute'  and I don't really want to risk re-opening another one.
Absolute
Pros - 30% contributed rakeback, bonuses (now crap), monthly affiliate freeroll, FPPs.
Cons - Crap software, NL cash games are apparently pretty sparse and of poor quality?
Battlefield Poker (Prima)
Pros - A huge 50% rakeback!
Cons - Just a small Prima skin... is my bankroll secure enough?
Poker.co.uk (Boss)
Pros - 30% contributed rakeback, $100 deposit bonus, Boss network = fishfishfish.
Cons - Not sure how much traffic there is on this network.
Interpoker
Pros - 32% dealt rakeback, monthly bonuses, monthly affiliate freeroll, .
Cons - Humm... |

Stars has weekly VIP freerolls - depending on ur level the prize pool and # of entrants differs. To get silver u need 1.5k FPP in a month, gold is 4k FPP, platinum 10k FPP, Supernova 100k FPP for the year. The freerolls range in prizepool from 2.5k to 100k.
Stars also offers bonuses approximately once every 2 months.

The bonuses don't matter if ur getting the 27% rakeback because they are deducted from the rakeback essentially meaning they cancel out. They are only better in that they are instantly transferred to ur account once u earn $20 - instead of having to wait till the middle of the next month to get your rakeback.
I don't know what you mean when you say they won't let you switch? I'm sure FTP has other options outside of neteller like Click2pay and moneybookers (I think that's what it's called).
Also just wondering why you can't play at more than 1 site? If you play at the same 2-3 sites all the time it's not that big a difference from playing just 1 site. |

on top of what toro said;
Gold vip = around 20% rakeback (you can buy amazon gift cards orcertain things to sell on ebay which means real $$$)
Platinum and supernova are obviously worth more, supernova being the equivalent to around 28% rakeback.
i forget the exact numbers but thats something like it. |

How easy are you guys finding the ring games at Stars? I've only played in a few 6 handed $50NL games but the quality of play seemed pretty awful 
Unfortunately I don't play all that much each month so I only really think I'd be able to keep up Silver VIP status, which I guess is worth about 15% rakeback.
The 'switch' problem with FTP is that they wont accept my UK debit card which I use to play at most poker sites, which seems ridiculous for such a big site.
I figured it'd be best to stay at one site as I'd get used to the games there and it'd make stats in PT easier, etc. Still not too sure who to go with yet... I'd really like FTP, might have a look into Click2Pay/Moneybookers.
Just seems a bit daft to be losing out on a few hundred $$$ each month due to playing without rakeback... maybe i'm just too tight.

| You should add Tribeca to the list. You can get 27% rakeback at Doyles if you try hard enough and the play at NL200 from what I've seen so far is diabolical. High variance though. |

Did you consider Ultimate Bet? I've played 50NL 100NL and 200NL there, I get 30% rakeback and they have a 650 dollar 100% signup bonus fee.
Bonuses clear pretty quickly, and there are reload bonuses frequently of around 250 or so.
Best part about their bonus/rakeback deal is that only 25% of their bonus money is deducted from rakeback, so you still get to keep 75% of your bonus + all the rakeback. Not to mention the software is very fast, if you're so much as decent player you can win at any of those levels. |

| You should consider Bodog. I'm not sure about the bonus situation, but I switched to Bodog after Party shut down and the players there are terrible. I think a sold ITHer could make a killing. Even I've made some money there. |

| yeah i agree with jay, the players at bodog are atrocious, i only played there for about a month as it wasn't supported by poker tracker, other than that, players SUCK! |

oh thanks for the heads up, i really will consider switching back. BTW does anyone play at Full Tilt, i usually just watch the pros but i'm interested in playing the mixed games, anyone play them? |

I like to play at Full Tilt when i'm not at UB. The biggest Pro over playing at Full Tilt is the traffic is fantastic, sometimes you can't find a particular game on UB, but pretty much there's always at least 5 tables of 6max from 10NL to 1000NL.
Full Tilt has decent rakeback too, I get 27% as of now. Their signup bonus is also pretty rad too, and clears decently quickly. One thing I really like about Full Tilt is their store has a lot of cool stuff and points are really easy to acquire. I plan on playing there a lot more in the future. I just need to make some more money on UB to transfer to FT. |

I've played the HORSE games a bit. I played some 1/2 and the players were terrible (even at HE) I also played 8/16 and the play was better but there's plenty of mistakes being made. |

Something along those lines. Wasn't so much as a dispute, more just me not replying to their emails for 6 months then them killing my account.  |

I used to play FT....IMO play is a bit tighter and there's more clued up players.
Stars can be a mixed boat....I find there's days where the play is hocking and then there's a fair amount of decent players.
The past week I've been hammering through the Hollywood Poker sign up bonus.....deposit $100 for $200 bonus. Quite frankly the play stinks. It's been easy money so far. |
