| Now that's a book review I would like to read. I've heard good things about the book, but I would like to hear what the guru thinks before sinking my money and time into Harrington's book. Bring it Matthew! |

| I read this book and thought it was great, although most of the stuff that I think will be really helpful is not included until Volume II (due out in May). Volume I reinforces some ideas about figuring the proper bet size and using pot odds. (For some reason, I tended to not think about pot odds as much in NL as in limit.) |

This is a well written and very good book. Even though it is geared towards tournaments it also helps the no-limit novices like myself understand no-limit concepts. There are many hand examples. I can't wait for volume 2. I assume that's where Harrington explains how to win when you get nothing but crap cards.
If you feel like you are fumbling around in SNG's and MTT's without a game plan then this book is a must read.
As an added bonus there are several lines in the book that are laugh out loud funny, which if you think about it is hard to do in an instructional book.

| I am on my second reading of this book. I think it is a must have. The hand examples have great explanations and overall the book is easy to read. Plus anybook that refers to certain players as "feebs" has to be on the top of the reading list. |

| I'm still reading this for the first time but so far it is really good. A lot of good insights and advice for tournament play. |

| I credit this book as well as this forum for giving me an unbelievable amount of confidence and strategy information in tourneys. I never go into a tournament and feel that I'm not one of the better players because of this book and this forum. A must read for any tourney player. |

| Just finished my first read of this book. Found it to be well written with excellent hand examples. There is much food for thought; I'm sure it will take a few more careful reads along with alot of practice to digest it properly. |

I give this book a definite thumbs up/must read/must own.
Harrington gives some of the basic ideas behind no-limit play, but with the perspective of someone who is at the top of his game right now (as witnessed by his WSOP finishes the past two years). I like seeing his thought processes when faced with a few of the many decisions a player will have to make during the course of a tournament.
I credit it with making me a better MTT player and giving me the tools to enjoy some recent successes, including my first two MTT wins. |

Excellent book. Not only is it helpful but a great read. Really didn't want to put it down. Harrington gives great insight into what you should be thinking when the play comes to you and a lot of it isn't even what cards you're holding.
I give it a 10. |

| love this book. Highly recommended. My first tournament after reading this book on party poker, I finished 46th out of 738. Pretty good for a beginning tourney player like me. Can't wait to unveil my game at a local casino this sunday(Thats if my NL home game ends before 7am). I need some rest for the 1:30pm start time |
