I am creating a new account at Cake Poker, how do I sign-up?
To sign-up for a new rakeback account you must use the following banner link, and the bonus code ITHRAKEBACK when signing up. Once you have signed up, please send your account name and e-mail address to support@internettexasholdem.com and let us know that you are interested in rakeback at Cake Poker.

How much rakeback will I get?
The current rakeback percentage at Cake Poker is 33%.

How is this 33% figure used to determine how much I am paid?
Cake Poker tracks all the revenue you generate playing poker and pays the rakeback directly into your account. Please note, only poker revenue (tournament entry fees, and the rake revenue Cake Poker credits to your play in cash games) is eligible for rakeback, and that all revenue numbers are generated and tracked by Cake Poker directly.

How does Cake Poker calculate the rake and revenue generated by my play?
For tournaments and SNGs the revenue generated is simply the entry fee. In cash games, the rake from a given hand is divided evenly amongst the players dealt cards in a hand. So, in a 5-handed game where $1 rake is taken from a pot, each player is credited with $0.20 of revenue.

Does Cake Poker deduct bonuses/fees from revenue generated?
Yes, Cake deducts bonuses and transaction fees (the amounts they pay to process deposits/withdrawals) from your MGR. So, if you generate $100 in revenue and clear $10 in bonus, your rakeback is calculated on the $90 remaining. Also, Cake deducts other promotional costs from MGR, including Gold Card Daily Lottery Awards, Gold Card 500 (or similar) winnings, and purchases from the Cake Shop.

When/how will I get paid?
Rakeback is paid directly into your account by Cake Poker on or about the 5th of the month for the previous month's play. So, on June 5th, the first rakeback payments will be processed for all play from May 1st to May 31st.

I believe I have previously signed up with Cake through ITH, am I eligible for this rakeback deal?
As this is our first relationship with Cake Poker, there should be no previous ITH linked players. If you have any questions about how your account is linked, please feel free to e-mail support@internettexasholdem.com with your account ID and e-mail information and we can look into it.

I have an account at Cake Poker that was not created through ITH, can I convert to rakeback with ITH?
No you cannot.

Can you verify that I am signed up correctly for rakeback before I start playing?
Once you've played in a tournament, or cash game, it takes 24-48 hours (depending on time of play) for your play to hit the reports. You can contact support@internettexasholdem.com once you've played and enough time has passed and we can confirm that you're correctly tracked at that point.

Where can I see the details about my rakeback account?
With Cake Poker, you should be able to see the details on your own account by accessing the Stats section of your My Account page. You can also e-mail support@internettexasholdem.com if you have questions/concerns about your rakeback information.

At this time, we don't have any of the automated systems setup to check your account that you may have seen on other rakeback sites. With Cake Poker, however, you should be able to see the details on your own account by accessing the STATS section of your My Account page. You can also e-mail support@internettexasholdem.com if you have questions/concerns about your rakeback information.

Ciaran, I have updated the info above as to where people can find their information regarding their rakeback on Cake. I had looked and could not find a VIP section (guess I'm not that important) but I did find a Stats button above my name and address details. Clicking on that allows people to view their total information and their monthly info.

Note that as of Dec 1st, Cake now deducts transactions fees (deposit and withdrawal fees) from rake for the purposes of determining rakeback.

How much do they charge for withdrawals to Neteller, assuming Neteller was the deposit method?

For an exact answer, you may need to contact Cake directly. I can look at the fees charged for an individual account on the reports we get, and I assume you can as well through the cashier, though I don't think it'd be broken out by deposit. According to a thread on 2+2 they apparently charge 8% for epassporte transactions, FWIW.

Maybe I have been naive, but since when has Epass charged a transaction fee other than when you load from your bank account? I've never known of any fees when either depositing to, or withdrawing from any poker site.

They, and the other processors, have always charged fees to the poker sites. For "regular" players, the sites mostly eat these fees as a cost of business. For rakeback players (or more generally for affiliates who are getting paid on an MGR basis) most sites subtract these fees from MGR.

Is it possible to get a free book offer as well as rakeback for Cake Poker?

Is there anywhere I can easily find info about their signup bonus or other bonus offerings?

What reliable deposit / withdrawal options are available for US residents?

Anything else I should know? I haven't joined a new poker site for about a year, since when I could easily use Neteller, so am rather rusty at all this.

http://www.internettexasholdem.com/cake-poker-bonus/

I think that should answer most of your questions.

There is no free book offer at Cake, but they're running a promotion for us right now, http://www.internettexasholdem.com/phpbb2/cake-poker-loves-ith-vt56100.html, and we're trying to arrange more going forward. I'll be adding another promo for December to that thread sometime tonight or tomorrow as well.

Those links have a lot of good info, thanks.

Still wondering about the deposit / withdrawal options for Americans though. I see a few people mention ePassporte, but I was never able to set that up and wouldn't want to do so to use on one site.

I think ePassporte is the most commonly used method at Cake right now, but I'm not an expert. Drop a note in that other thread and see how the folks currently grinding there are doing it.
