BetFred Poker has a penchant for some odd little promotional offers for their affiliates. Their most recent is for affiliates who operate discussion forums. Recognizing that its mostly the bonus chasing ITHers who have accounts with BetFred at this time, SANDSSTORM has asked that I coordinate ITH's involvement in the following promotion:

The Prize is free entry into an MTT on 29 January that has a $100,000 grand prize.

Here's how it works - each forum puts together a team of ten players. That team of ten enters and plays in two MTTs. One on Wednesday the 18th, the second on Saturday the 21st. Both start at 1630 US East Coast time.
The players play as individuals to win each tourney. The top 20 finishers receive points: 20 for first, 1 for 20th place. The person with the highest point total after the two qualifying MTTs gets an entry to the $100,000 grand prize tournament on January 29th.
Each qualifying MTT costs $2+.20 to enter, and the entry fee will make the prize pool on both qualifying MTTs.

Additonally, all the team members scores will be combined to find the highest finishing forum team. That team earns the affiliate a free seat into the $100,000 grand prize event. SANDSSTORM has asked that I represent ITH as the affiliate for this event, so:
1. I am barred from the qualifying events
2. I would play the $100,000 GP event if the ITH forum team wins the extra seat.
If the team gets me to the main event, I will cut each team member in on a 7.5% stake of anything I win. (8% to the remaining 9 team members if another team member monies higher than me in the event. Money higher than me and you'll just have to be happy with your winnings!)

I have not heard back from BetFred as of yet - but they may have dropped me off their e-mail reply to SANDSSTORM. But stand by for confusion as this gets settled. (I participated in the affiliate freeroll last month and it was so chaotic at the start that it got delayed 15 minutes!)

The name of the Tourney is "The BetFred Forum Challenge". And should be listed under the "Specials" tab of the tournaments section.

There has not been any discussion of passwords. If you are registered you should be able to take a seat when the tourney starts.

I do not see it listed yet, either.

There appears to be another simultaneously scheduled satellite, the tournament appears to be listed as: $100,000 Satellite MTQ, but it is a $21.50+$2. Might this be the mix up? Will this be exclusively against other forums, or will it be an open buy in?
