Paradise Poker Software
Paradise Poker has recently merged with the Boss Media Network and as a result has received a much needed improvement in their software. Having been one of the earliest sites, Paradise Poker was in need of a complete makeover of it's software. This has been accomplished at Boss.
The table layout and colors are blue felt with leather trimmed tables. Players are represented by circular placards sitting upon chairs on a sandy beach. These graphics are pleasant to the eyes, which is a necessity if you play long sessions of poker or partake in long multi-table tournaments. Player stack-sizes are well displayed. There are number of buttons available for bringing up your individual stats, buying chips, chat, settings and live help. The cardbacks are standard red. The player notes function is easy to understand and use and have a auto-wrap text feature. Players may also utilize the 4-color deck function.
Paradise Poker's main menu screen is easy to navigate. Cash game players are given Average Pot size, Players seeing the Flop percentages as well as hands per hour, making choices for table selection easier.
Tournaments and SnGs have many filters for finding the format that is right for each player. Players will find that the tabs in the tournament screens are filterable so tournament and table selection are quite easy to utilize.
Paradise Poker's software, like all of the Boss media is very good, crisp and responsive with no noticeable lags or hangups. Overall, I would suggest that anyone who can gain access to Paradise Poker do so. The playing experience is that good.

Reload Bonus Frequency
Paradise Poker infrequently runs reloads at a rate of 4 or 5 times a year. This is well behind the industry norm for the upper echelon, large online poker sites, like Paradise Poker. The reloads at Paradise Poker are usually generically targeted - one reload fits all.

Tournaments with Overlays
A tournament overlay is the result of guaranteed prize money that is not offset by the participant's buy-ins. As such, all freerolls always offer an overlay.
Paradise Poker offers many guaranteed prizepool tournaments rarely offers overlays. Those with big buy-ins generally have enough players to guarantee no overlays, and the smaller buy-in tournaments tend to be rebuy formats. This nearly always ensures that tournaments at Paradise Poker do not carry overlays except, of course, freeroll and FPP tournaments.

Piscivorous Discretionary Poker Room Bonus Rating
Paradise Poker has undergone some major changes in the first half of 2007. Having migrated to the Boss Media platform from their sole-proprietary network, Paradise Poker has merged with the players and tables as such Boss stalwarts as Celeb Poker and Fortune Poker, lending more strength to an already strong network.
Although I have never played at a Boss Media site, I very much like their software and attention to detail. They run many fine tournaments, bonuses and promotions and adding this to the already strong player base and management of Paradise Poker will see a quite successful partnership.
Paradise' bonus looks familiar on the surface, but a number of changes have occurred since the migration. First, Paradise has gone to a contributed/rake system, from a straight rake system. Second, the bonus now releases in $5 increments rather than $10 increments. Good thing, as Paradise has changed form a decent 10x bonus into a poor 20x contributed rake bonus. Third, Paradise Poker's never expiring bonuses now carry 180 expiration terms. Finally, and on a positive note, Paradise Poker has increased it's SnG/MTT fee rakeback from 10% to 20% vis-a-vis bonus clearance.
Overall, despite a great move to a great poker network, the bonus at Paradise Poker has deteriorated substantially.
