How long have you been playing poker? Online poker?
Aside from a few random home games, I started playing poker in August, 2004, and I started on the internet. I had two friends at work who were both playing on the internet and my discussions with them led me to believe it might be fun to try. It was not long before I became a regular, consistent player.
What games and limits do you play?
When I am interested in making money, I play mostly full ring Limit Hold'em, up to $5/10. I also enjoy forays into NL MTTs, SNGs, and a little Pot Limit Omaha.
Which ITH forum board is your favorite and why?
Bonus Chasing because the content moderator is the coolest thing that ever happened to online poker.
What's your greatest poker moment?
Probably in a live game at The Luxor when I busted the table coach with a bigger boat. There was something deeply satisfying about that.
Worst poker moment?
Coming in second on the final table in the ITH Winter League after taking a 9-1 chip lead into heads-up play.
What area of your game are you currently focusing on right now?
Re-inflating my bankroll after I let Mrs Bull gut it when I deployed to the South Pacific. So, pretty much I am looking for maximum profitability from play and bonuses - not trying to improve my game at this point. That'll come in about another $3,000.
If you could go back in time and start all over again with Internet Poker, what would you do differently?
Read Internet Texas Hold'em from cover to cover before making my first deposit, and believing from the outset that the guidance it contains applies to me! I played too loose, passive when I first started. Even after I studied the game a bit, I thought I could justify my incorrect play on a case by case basis. It's just not so.
What's your favorite poker saying or phrase?
The Mortal Nuts.
If you could be any card in the deck, which one would you be and why?
Seven. Because it mixes well with whiskey, bourbon, rum, and tequila.
Who is your favorite poker player, pro or amateur?
Phil Ivey. Who can read that man?
What are your other interests outside of poker?
Woodworking. I like to build furniture.
If you had 15 seconds to talk to the world, what would you tell them?
I'm really much better looking in person.
