John Marsh, aka Voter
Voter spends his days with four women and then tries for even more queens at the poker tables

Name John Marsh

Age Ouch - just turned 40.

Where are you from? Pittsburgh, PA.

Are you married? Children?
Yes, still crazy in love with my wife of 13 years, Eowyn2 (Jackie off the tables). Three beautiful daughters, age 6, 4 and 2. I'm outnumbered! Just got a cat, and it's a girl too.

What do you do for a living? Corporate treasurer.

How long have you been playing Internet poker?
Started November 2003 after watching some Poker on TV on Thanksgiving Day.

What limits do you play?
I'm currently at .50/1. My bankroll is about $500 (all winnings, we withdrew the initial deposits). In another $50 or $100 I'll give 1/2 a try. I also play $10 SNG's. I usually have one SNG and one ring table open at a time.

What is your favorite site and why?
Party Poker, because it's where the fish are. Pokerstars has better software, but also better players. If you can psychologically handle the bad beats and swings, Party is the place to be.

What has been your biggest poker thrill or achievement up to now?
The big pots are always a thrill. My biggest to date was 42BB. I also get a rush every time I'm all-in in a SNG. My biggest achievement has probably been the progression of my SNG game. At first I thought SNG's were all luck. Now I've realized that they require more skills than ring games, and I've worked on those skills.

What area of your game are you currently focusing on?
Right now I'm working on my Omaha8 ring game - really disciplining myself not to chase second-best hands. In holdem ring I'm trying to be more aggressive from late position, and in holdem SNG's I'm continually working on steals and buys.

If you could go back in time and start all over again on the Internet, what would you do differently?
Nothing really, it's been a lot of fun and that's what I play for.

What’s your favorite poker saying or phrase?
"Playing poker with worse players than yourself isn't gambling - it's common sense." Something like that. I picked it up here on the boards, but I don't know who originally said it.

Who is your favorite poker player (if you have one)?
Phil Hellmuth, but I don't really follow the pros.

What are your other interests outside of poker?
My wife and girls mostly. Golf in the summer, bowling in the winter.

Feel free to add anything else you would like to say.
