Dennis Whitcomb, Greeneyes
The army, a love for art(ists), Japanese movies, and poker...nice mix!

Name Dennis Whitcomb

Age 56

Where are you from? Atlanta GA

Are you married? Children?
Yes, my wife is an artist and fills the many gaps in my character. I married well. I have one son that graduates from Georgia Tech this year. He's a great kid! Too bad he takes after me as a computer science major. He'll have to marry well too.

What do you do for a living?
I'm a systems analyst for the Army.

How long have you been playing Internet poker?
Two and a half years.

What limits do you play?
Micro limits up to $1/$2 for income and big bet freerolls for entertainment.

What is your favorite site and why?
I seem to do best at UB. Their loose aggressive games suit me well. I like the interface and the players.

What has been your biggest poker thrill or achievement up to now? Still waiting for that. It's a mixed bag. I'm waiting for that click when everything falls into place and you move to a new level of understanding. Still waiting.

What area of your game are you currently focusing on?
Reading skill. This is my weakest area by far.

If you could go back in time and start all over again on the Internet, what would you do differently?
I would not have spent a year learning big bet holdem. I would have developed my limit game first. I've just started to focus on LHE seriously this January.

What’s your favorite poker saying or phrase?
Twenty steps forward, nineteen and a half back....

Who is your favorite poker player (if you have one)?
Me (and also least favorite)!

What are your other interests outside of poker?
Who has the time for interests outside of poker? I have a passion for Japanese and Hong Kong movies.

Feel free to add anything else you would like to say.
