David Stearle aka Pottymouth1
Name
David Stearle

Age
26

Where are you from?
Springdale, Arkansas

Are you married? Children?
Very single, in fact to single

What do you do for a living?
Category Manager/Business Analyst

How long have you been playing Internet poker?
Made my first deposit Jan 5th, 2004

What limits do you play?
$1/$2-$2/$4 Limit (probably $3/$6 soon)
$5-30 SnG's
$1-$50 MTT

What is your favorite site and why?
Right now I would have to say Pokerstars.
I really like their software and support. I love tournament poker and
really like their structure.

What has been your biggest poker thrill or achievement up to now?
Overall I would say that the fact I didn't dig myself a hole when I
started out is my best achievement. Luckily I found Matt's book
online and studied it hard. I believe this really helped me break
even for the first few months.
My biggest thrill was finishing 12th in the Stars 20K tourney. I
believe it was a really big turning point to me proving that I had the
ability to perform in these large tournaments. My huge bust out in
that tournament also taught me how focused you have to stay throughout
the whole thing.

What area of your game are you currently focusing on?
In my limit game I am working on playing the players. Who do you
believe on 4th street and who do you have to call down.
In my No-Limit game I am working on being more aggressive against the
right opponents at the right time.

If you could go back in time and start all over again on the Internet, what would you do differently?
I would get $500 together from the beginning and plug it into one site
and play off the bonus, then move it to each new site. These bonuses
are a great way to help cushion some of your original losses

What’s your favorite poker saying or phrase?
IWC
Idiot(s) With Chips
You can even type this right into chat and the guy who played 52o to
crack your aces will have no idea.

Who is your favorite poker player (if you have one)?
Daniel Negreanu- he seems like a fun guy and plays some great poker.
He also seems very genuine
Matthew Hilger- Some people have the unique ability to boil things
down to a level that even I can understand. In addition, Matthew has
found a way to make money at something he truly loves. I hope I can
say the same thing in ten years.

What are your other interests outside of poker?
I enjoy golf and try to play every weekend. I also fly remote
controlled airplanes. I also watch a lot of sports. The Arkansas
Razorbacks are my team. You really don't want to be around me when
they lose in football or basketball. Lastly, I play the drums when I
can. I was a music major for two years in college and probably don't
play as much as I should anymore.

Feel free to add anything else you would like to say.
The tough thing about online poker is that you are sitting in front of
the computer supposedly not interacting with people. This web
site/book has created a fantastic community that really gives internet
poker another dimension for me. I applaud Matthew for all that he has
been able to accomplish with his book and I know that there is so much
more to come. Furthermore the tournament group has been a great
learning tool for me and I have met some great people, who happen to
be good at poker.
