Working your way through college will never be the same...
Name Andrew Barton Age 19 Where are you from? Born in San Diego but currently in Santa Barbara for school Are you married? Children? yikes! i'm pratically a child myself, don't get me thinking about these things What do you do for a living? Well, because I am too lazy to get a real job, I am a pro poker player How long have you been playing Internet poker? November 2003 What limits do you play? $2/4 to $5/10 for ring games (depending on the site) and $20 and $30 NL SNGs at Party Poker. I am trying to make my way up from $500 a week to $1000 a week playing poker by the end of the summer. What is your favorite site and why? Party Poker, because they have the biggest selection of easy games. I don't even understand why people would want to play at other sites with tougher games. What has been your biggest poker thrill or achievement up to now? Probably just that fact that I haven't needed a job all year and have been able to pay for a few months rent and all of my entertainment because of just a card game, and that it is something that I am good at and can be proud of because I am somewhat successful at. What area of your game are you currently focusing on? I am trying to figure out what the heck people are thinking sometimes when I am playing them. Seriously, how many times have you played and someone flips over their cards and you just wonder what they were thinking that caused them to play so incredibly poorly. I just have no clue why people waste their money with such horrible horrible play sometimes. If you could go back in time and start all over again on the Internet, what would you do differently? I would have bought Poker Tracker right away. If you haven't bought it yet, at least start getting all your hand histories for when you realize what a good investment it is. What’s your favorite poker saying or phrase? Be careful when you raise all in because you might just get called! Who is your favorite poker player (if you have one)? Howard Lederer, because he is so smart and focused while at the table What are your other interests outside of poker? I bodyboard as much as possible, and I was San Diego High School champion (they don't technically have a state champion for high school) in 2001 and 2002, and college state champion in 2003. Feel free to add anything else you would like to say. Play poker like it is the most important thing in the world, but always remeber it is a game first, so have fun. Oh and thank you to all the bad players out there who have so graciously given me their money, please keep it coming, a starving college kid needs something to eat and a place to sleep!Look Andrew up in the forum! |
