Review of Full Tilt Poker

July 1 2011 As a result of the United States seizure of the fulltiltpoker.com domain name, Full Tilt Poker entered into an agreement to exit the U.S. market and pay all US players their deposits. In exchange, Full Tilt Poker would be able to use their domain name for non-U.S. money play.

Management and liquidity issues were exposed as a result. An investigation by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission quickly culminated in the suspension of Full Tilt Poker's license and the site was shit down for cash games.

Within 24 hours, news has surfaced that a group of European investors has purchased the Full Tilt operation for $150 million, enough to pay all players outstanding deposits. Full Tilt was a favorite to players and we hope that this shake-up will clean house and result in a well run operation that we can recommend.

For the best signup bonuses now, we suggest PokerStars Bonus and Party Poker Bonus for non-us players and Cake Poker Bonus for U.S. and all players. We will post updates as the situation unfolds. This is our review of the former operation of Full Tilt poker.

Full Tilt Poker Software
Full Tilt Poker has some of the best software and features in the online poker industry. The ease of navigation at Full Tilt is incredible. Menu speeds are lightning quick with updated information happening instantaneously. The poker tables are all standardized green felt. Player avatars [very cartoonish and distracting] all float upon UFO-like platforms of black/gray. Players are free to change almost every feature of the table, however. Play with or without the avatars. Change the expression of your avatar. Change the background, or card backs. Players can right click another player's avatar or disk, and place themselves in that location. Alternatively, players can click upon the options tab in the main menu and choose auto-center, which will always sit the player in the lower center seat of the table. The note-taking function does not have an auto-wrap text feature, but does have 14-color player tagging, so players can identify players. Full Tilt's statistics screen is top-notch.

Full Tilt's are re-sizable, allowing for players to fit as many tables as they wish on their monitor screen.

The main menu software is easily navigated and intuitive. Players can customize the information displayed here by using the edit tab on both the cash game and tournament menus. The cash game main menu includes "players seeing the flop" percentages as well as average pot size statistics to facilitate table selection.

Players may click open the tournament screen menu of their choice and there will be a listing of all freerolls, tournament token and cash qualifiers to their selected tournament. Clicking on any within this satellite will take the player to that satellite's registration screen. Should their be satellites to these satellites, those will be listed there.

The cashiering screen is well organized with numerous options and buttons available to accomplish tasks such as deposit, withdrawal, account history, access to their online store, bonus progress and player information update.

Overall, Full Tilt Poker's software is among the best in the online poker industry and players will revel in its easy, intuitive interface.

    Full Tilt Poker Stability
Full Tilt Poker opened it's virtual doors in 2004. Since their small, humble beginnings, Full Tilt Poker has emerged as a major player in the online poker industry, and is now one of the top 10 largest poker sites on the internet. Full Tilt's continuing growth and large, loyal player base offer a stability few poker sites can offer.

    Full Tilt Poker Customer Service
Full Tilt Poker has email customer service. Although their customer service is somewhat slow due to the many emails they receive, their responses are very concise and knowledgeable. Turnaround time on cashouts can take 2-3 business days for NETeller and FirePay. However, these times are greatly accelerated with player tenure and frequency of deposits and cashouts at Full Tilt Poker. Average cashout speed for players who play the site regularly can be as fast as 8 hours.
Full Tilt Poker Poker Tracker Compatibility
Full Tilt Poker and Poker Tracker 2 and Poker Tracker 3 are completely compatible. Poker Tracker is supported for all Holdem, Omaha, Stud and Razz games. Likewise, all tournaments venues, including Full Tilt Poker's HORSE tournaments are fully Poker Tracker compatible.

All players from the same household can participate at the same tables and can each take advantage of the bonus offers at Full Tilt Poker.
Full Tilt Poker Tournaments with Overlays
A tournament overlay is the result of guaranteed prize money that is not offset by the participant's buy-ins. As such, all freerolls always offer an overlay.

Players at Full Tilt will not find overlays at the tournaments hosted there. Since the division of poker sites due to the UIGEA, Full Tilt has thrived and quickly become one of the top three sites in terms of traffic and their guaranteed tournaments never offer an overlay because of their success.
