Full Tilt Poker Suspension
July 1 2011 As a result of the United States seizure of the fulltiltpoker.com domain name, Full Tilt Poker entered into an agreement to exit the U.S. market and pay all US players their deposits. In exchange, Full Tilt Poker would be able to use their domain name for non-U.S. money play.
Management and liquidity issues were exposed as a result. An investigation by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission quickly culminated in the suspension of Full Tilt Poker’s license and the site was shit down for cash games.
Within 24 hours, news has surfaced that a group of European investors has purchased the Full Tilt operation for $150 million, enough to pay all players outstanding deposits.
Full Tilt was a favorite to players and we hope that this shake-up will clean house and result in a well run operation that we can recommend.
